The lion dance holds a special place in the hearts of people in Guangdong Province. In history, it was a men's art only. However, the Nanxing Hexingtang Women's Lion Dance Team from Renhe Town, Guangzhou, broke the tradition with an all-girl team.

Coach Zhang saw the number of young lion dancers going down and he had a creative idea. He started to train girls in 2018. Girl dancers met some difficulties at first. However, Zhang and another coach, Coach Yu, didn't give up their idea to set up an all-girl lion dance team. They finally found girl dancers and trained them hard.

Their hard work paid off when the girls won their first big award (奖项) over the men's teams in 2021. They had more wins and this made them respected in the lion dance community. Today, the team has over 20 girls aged 7 to 19.

The team's success isn't just about winning awards, but about breaking bias (偏见). More girls start to learn lion dance because of them.

Food chains usually start with a green plant, such as grass or a tree. This is because plants can directly change sunlight into energy that they can use for themselves. These plants are called "producers", and they create or produce their own food. They use this food to grow leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds (种子).

Food Chain Disruptions (中断)

When a food chain is broken, it may result in a bad situation. An example is over fishing. Over the years, humans have been catching too many fish at a quick speed leaving not enough to keep a healthy population. Because of this, other animals such as the turtles are endangered (濒危). So, humans should make sure our activities don't harm the ecosystem (生态系统).

Once I met a difficult question to answer — What is a friend? But now, I think I have a better understanding of and friendships.

There is an English saying "A friend in need is a friend indeed." True friends should share and sadness with you. Some are like the sunshine — they are always , and ready to give us a hand. Some are like the stars at night — we don't always see them, but we know they are around .

People need friends. There are several to keep friendships. The first is to listen. Listening to others is like a  that opens the door to good friendships. It helps you to understand your friends, and shows that you really  about them. Second, spend time with your friends. Do your favourite things together, such as playing football, having a picnic and visiting a museum. The time you  together will become the unforgettable memories. Third, be helpful. For example, when your friends fail in exams, them and help them overcome the difficulties.
