The major movies contributing to the box office record were My People, My Country, The Captain and The Climbers.

I always dreamed of studying abroad, to learn at a world-class university while further exploring the grounds on which these nations achieved new milestones of development with each passing day.

To study abroad after my graduation, I could not stop seeking my dream. To take the first step, I did some brainstorming and explored opportunities on the Internet and finally decided to go for China. There were a number of reasons behind it - its advanced education system and thousands of centuries of rich culture inspired me to study there. The primary one was my curiosity how a nation has left many nations behind in a short time at its fast pace of development.

So just like that, I applied, along with some of my friends, for a master's degree program at Communication University of China. I was the only one who got selected in the said program and in addition, the Chinese Scholarship Council sponsored all of my expenses. This good news was welcomed by my family.

This is my seventh month in Beijing. In my experience so far, one thing that appeared to be missing was the internship (实习)which I tried to find because I want to work here after completion of my studies. After some struggles I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work as an intern with the Center for China and Globalization (CCG). It's very exciting to work on their team as a researcher. Now I can proudly say that my decision to choose China as a study destination was the best decision I have ever made.

    A . China's rich culture. B . His curiosity. C . China's advanced education system. D . His family's support.

Artificial intelligence (A1) technology may soon be a useful tool for doctors. It may help them better understand and treat diseases like breast cancer(癌症)in ways that were never before possible.

Rishi Rawat teaches A1 at the University of Southern California's (USC) Clinical Science Center in Los Angeles. He is part of a team of scientists who are researching how A1 and machine learning can more easily recognize cancerous growths in the breast. Rawat provides information about cancer cells to a computer. He says this data helps the machine learn." …You can put the data into them and they will learn the patterns and the pattern recognition. That's important to make decisions."

David Agus is another USC researcher. He believes that "machines are not going to take the place of doctors." "Computers will not treat patients, but they will help make certain decisions and look for things that the human brain can't recognize these patterns by itself." Once a confirmed cancerous growth is removed, doctors still have to treat the patient to reduce the risk of cancer returning. The form of treatment depends on the kind of cancer. Currently, researchers take a thin piece of tissue (动植物细胞的组织), put it on a small piece of glass and add color to better see the cells .

That process could take days or even longer. Scientists say A1 can do something better than just count cells. Through machine learning, it can recognize complex patterns or structures, and learn how the cells are organized. The hope is that machines will soon be able to make a quick identification of cancer that is free of human mistakes. "A11 of a sudden, we have the computing power to really do it in real time... We couldn't have done this, we didn't have the computing power to do this several years ago, but now it's all changed." Agus adds that the process could be done "for almost no cost in the developing world." He says that having a large amount of information about patients is important for a machine to effectively do its job in medicine.

The University of Southern California researchers are now only studying breast cancer. But doctors predict A1 will one day make a difference in all forms of cancer.

    (1) Many diseases like breast cancer will soon be
    A . cured with A1 B . treated with A1 C . prevented with A1 D . removed with A1
    (2) What can we infer from Agus's words in Paragraph 3?
A . Al technology is to replace doctors. B . Computers can be an aid to the human brain. C . Computers can work well with little information. D . Al technology is not accessible to developing countries.
    (3) What does the underlined word :it" in Paragraph 4 refer to?
A . Helping to count cells. B . Recognizing complex patterns. C . Making a quick and right identification. D . Learning how the cells are organized.
    (4) What does this passage mainly talk about?
A . Research in breast cancer. B . Potential of Al for doctors. C . Imagination about AI's future. D . Achievements on medical care.

Street dances are dance styles that evolved (逐渐;演变) outside of dance studios in any available open spaces. They are often improvisational (即兴的) and social in nature, encouraging interaction (互动) and contact with audiences and the other dancers. These dances generally evolve out of urban and suburban spaces and are a part of the native culture of that geographical area. Some examples of street dances include B-boying, or breakdancing, which originated in New York City, and the Melbourne Shuffle, which originated in Melbourne, Australia.

Street dances are dances that evolve among people in a social environment, although it cannot be ways determined as to how they actually do evolve among people. In theory, as one person comes up with a move that looks good to another person, that other person tries to copy that move. Similar to the game of Chinese Whispers, the effect is that the other person cannot absolutely perform that move the same way as the other person, thus leading to the dancer creating their own style or an entirely new move.

There is a small difference between an entirely freestyle dance and an absolute street dance. While a freestyle dance is random and a personal dance invented by a single person ( even if it's based on someone else's dance style), a full street dance is a collection of the various similar dance moves and styles collected into one practice and regarded as the same dance. For example, when B-boying evolved out of early hip-hop culture, people came up with their own moves, and other people improved them. Street dances constantly evolve for as long as they are, now and then practiced and regarded as the same dance. All the moves danced to breaks in hip-hop culture were regarded as B-boying.

Sometimes it is possible to trace back street dance styles that were mostly pioneered by specific persons. One example is Locking, which is often regarded as being started by Don Campbell, who was a 1970s pioneer of American street dances. Most of the time it is impossible to owe street dances to specific people; since the dances evolve outside of professional dance environments, and there is no social or legal record. Street dance pioneers also rarely have professional degrees in dance, thus distinguishing street dances from other modern dance forms.

    (1) Paragraph 1 is intended to tell us the _______________________ of street dances.
    A . varieties B . changes C . characteristics D . distributions
    (2) What do we know about street dances?
A . Dancers perform them in dance studios. B . They are developed by professional dancers. C . They are collected from different moves and styles. D . Dancers create moves based on other people's moves.
    (3) Chinese Whispers are mentioned in Paragraph 2 to _______________________.
A . stress a street dancer's own style B . show the effect of Chinese Whispers C . introduce a popular Chinese game D . explain the characteristics of street dances
    (4) The passage is probably taken from _______________________.
    A . a travel journal B . a history textbook C . a popular magazine D . a museum brochure
