Hello, my friends! I'm back from my vacation. I went to a 1 with my parents. We 2 two weeks there. We lived in a hotel. Our room faced (面向) the sea, so we could see the sea at 3 time of day! There was a shopping street and many restaurants around. We bought many things and enjoyed lots of seafood (海味). I 4 something special for all of you.

Everyone needs friends. Friends bring us happiness and hope in our lives. But the ability to make friends changes from person to person. To some people, making friends is easy, but to others it's very difficult.
Making friends is a skill, and the first thing is to know how to get along with others. If you have trouble in making friends, maybe I can tell you how to do it.
Realize your own good points. You have skills and talents that others will like.
Believe that you are a good person and have something nice to share with others.
Be humorous. Learn to laugh at yourself and your weakness. Remember to smile to others.
Respect the others. Everyone has his own idea. Learn how to listen to others' ideas without trying to make them accept yours.
Be kind. If you are kind to others, they will usually be kind to you. There are hundreds of little things you can do to show kindness. Open the door for someone. Wave to a friend and so on.
Don't complain(抱怨). Learn to accept what you can't change, and work hard to change what you can. No one is willing to hear your complaining all the time.
Never give up. Even if you are faced with some closed-minded people, never give up. And try to find someone who will understand you.
A young boy was playing with a ball in the street. He threw(扔)it too hard and it broke(打破)the window of a house and fell(掉)inside. A woman came to the window and shouted(大喊) at the boy. The boy was afraid and ran away. But he still wanted his ball back. A few minutes(分钟)later. The boy came back and knocked(敲)at the door and said, "My father is going to come and repair(修理)your window soon."
After a while, a man came to the door with tools(工具)in his hand, so the woman let the boy take his ball away.
When the man finish repairing the window, he said to the woman, "Please pay ten dollars."
"But aren't you the father of the boy?" the woman asked, looking surprised(惊奇). "No," he answered, looking more surprised, "Aren't you his mother?"
A group of eighth-grade students from Luoyang No. 1 High School in Huizhou, Guangdong went camping along Dongjiang River on May 11. One of the students fell into the river. Four students linked (链接) arms to save their friend, but all were swept away. Sadly, all the students lost their lives.
This not the only tragedy(悲剧)has happened recently. According to the ministry of education (教育部), 19 high school and primary school students died in drowning(溺水) accidents over just two days, May 11 and 12.
The ministry gives some suggestions to students on how to keep safe. It asks students to go swimming only if there are teachers or parents around, and tell them to never swim in deep waters. Don't jump into the water trying to help others if you're not good at swimming. Ask for help adult instead.
Daniel sat in the back seat of the car and he was very excited. It was his first trip to Disney World, and he couldn't wait to get there.
At first it wasn't too bad. He played some car games with his brother Emmit and his parents. They played number games. They also read out all the letters on the license plates(牌照) from different states. Then Daniel felt bored and slept for a while. But he couldn't sleep for a long time, and they were still far away from Disney World.

"No, Daniel." said his father." Please try to be patient. You chose(选择) the vacation place this year. We told you it would be a long trip."
"Yeah, but this is so boring!" said Daniel.
"I think Daniel is right," said Emmit."It's a boring trip."
"You want to hear about a boring trip?" asked Dad." When I was about your age, Daniel, Grandma and Grandpa took your aunt Jan and me to Disney World. About halfway there, the car ran over a nail(钉子) and we got a flat tire(瘪了的轮胎).Luckily we had one more at the back of the car, but it took a long time to change the tire. So when we finally arrived at Disney World, it was already dark."
