Too many of us are waiting too long to live our best lives. We keep putting everything off until tomorrow. Then, before we know it, we find ourselves asking, "How did it get so late so soon?"

So we'd better make today the beginning of our new life. Take time to figure ourselves out. Take time to realize what we want and need. Take time to love, laugh, cry, and learn.  Here are five things we should start doing today:

Accept ourselves. The secret to happiness and success is the acceptance of ourselves. We will never become who we want to be if we rely on everyone else to qualify us. So always go with ourselves, never against ourselves. Be who we were created to be and we will set the world on fire.

Make ourselves a priority. To tell the truth, there are only a few people in this world who will stay 100% true to us, so we should stay true to ourselves. Put our own needs into the list of things to do.

Don't sit back and let things happen to us. Go out and make things happen. We are what we do, not what we say we'll do. Stop saying "I wish" and start saying "I will". Turn our dreams into plans.

Do the work. We can't underestimate (低估) a person who always works hard. Be that person. Always remember that the task ahead of us is never greater than the strength within us. Do what's right, not what's easy. Our dreams are worth it.

We can't force things to happen; we can only drive ourselves trying crazily. There's a time and place for everything. So don't force what's not yet supposed to fit into our life. When it's meant to be, it will be. Work hard, and be patient.

A. Take positive action.

B. Enjoy every moment of life.

C. Life is shorter than it often seems.

D. Everyone has a different way of life.

E. Accept ourselves just the way we are.

F. Allow life to happen like it's supposed to.

G. In life, we don't get what we wish for; we get what we work for.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

Before your teen gets behind the wheel of a car, he or she should be familiar with the rules of the road. You should have your teen review the driver's handbook and the vehicle's instruction. If your teen understands the basic rules and how the car works, then he or she will feel a little better about getting on the road.

     Model good driving

Actions speak louder than words. Many people will tell you that they learned how to drive by watching one of their close family members drive. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

Practice

Practice makes perfect. The more your teen practices, the more confident he or she will become. Your teen should s tart off by driving in a place that is free of barriers. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .  After your teen has gotten comfortable about this, he or she can start practicing on the road.

Drive in a variety of conditions

In order for your teen to become a good driver, he or she has to practice driving in a variety of conditions. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} .

Trust has been considered as the basis of any relationship, including friendship. No relationship can last long with a lack of trust. Not many of your friends will have real faith in you as you would like to believe. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Sometimes, it takes years, even a complete lifetime, to trust someone. However, how do we know if our friends have faith in us?

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} With whom will you share things that you don't want everyone to know? It would be with a close friend, whom you trust as much as you trust yourself.

Whom do you look up to for advice when you need it the most? It has to be either your parents or your friends. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}____ This is a shining example of trust. You only seek advice from people you hold in high regard and find dependable. The friends who trust you will never forget to include you in the important decisions of their life.

Arguments and heated discussions are a part of every relationship, and this is also true for friendship. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} While some people find it difficult to forgive and forget, your friends will never have problems moving on. It is because they trust you and believe that you will never cause any pain to them on purpose.

There are times in life when you find yourself a lonely soldier. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Your friends will never let you down and will strongly stand for you when you need encouragement. You can determine that they trust you and believe in your beliefs if they side with you when you need them the most.

B. You know they will never pass on a wrong suggestion.

As the world struggles to deal with the climate crisis, some companies are working to remove polluting carbon dioxide (CO2) from the air. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, but two US companies have recently made important progress.

Scientists say large amounts of CO2 must be removed from the atmosphere and stored. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. But there's so much CO2 in the atmosphere that just planting trees and protecting forests won't solve the problem. In addition, when plants and trees die, the carbon they've stored gets released again.

That means humans need to come up with ways of removing carbon from the air and storing it. This is called Direct Air Capture (DAC). The science of removing carbon from the air is challenging, and it's still pretty new. Most DAC processes require a large amount of energy, {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

A company called Heirloom has just opened the first DAC plant in the United States. The company heats up the limestone (石灰岩)to separate out the CO2, which is then locked away in concrete (混凝土). The process is extremely expensive. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. That's a tiny amount compared to how much carbon needs to be removed from the atmosphere, but the company says it hopes to remove a billion tons per year by 2035.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Some people worry that it will take too long for DAC technology to become powerful enough to make a difference. Others worry that focusing on removing carbon could take attention away from more important climate actions, like switching from fossil fuel s to renewable energy. But experts say the decision isn't to do one or the other. The world needs to end fossil fuel use and pull carbon out of the air.

A. It's a huge and challenging goal

B. Plants and trees can do this naturally

C. Everyone is not excited about carbon removal

D. The new plant can remove 1,000 tons of CO2 year

E. Graphyte is another US company working on DAC

F. and CO2 is just a small part of the gasses that make up air

G. so one puzzle for these companies is how to remove carbon without creating more pollution
