I need1English dictionary. I go to the bookstore (书店). There are many books2it. I can't find the dictionaries. So I ask a girl, “Excuse3, where4the dictionaries?” “5 are in the last bookcase.” says the girl. “Thanks.” I say. With her help, I buy the dictionary. Then I go home happily.

    On my way home, I see something on the floor (地上).6 that? Is it a7? Yes, it is. it's a black wallet (钱包). Oh, There is a photo8a man9some money in it. I find a telephone number at the back of (在...的背面) the photo.10 758897. So I call it. Finally, the man comes and gets back (拿回) the wallet.

    The girl helps me and I help the man. It's good to help others.

    Mr. Black takes his daughter 1 a restaurant. They sit down, and there are a lot of  2 in the restaurant. They 3 for a long time, but no waiters come to their table.

    Mr. Black says, "I'm 4, I can't wait." He waits for a minute and says, "Now I am going to 5 something to get a waiter soon."

    He goes out of the restaurant and 6 the restaurant, "My 7is at a table in your restaurant, she 8 a red hat."

    The waiter finds the girl and he says to Mr. Black, "Yes, she's here. Do you want to 9 her?"

    "No," says Mr. Black, "But please give her something to eat quickly. She is very 10". Then he goes back to the restaurant. He is glad to see that a waiter is now at this table.

    As a Japanese girl called Jenny, I experienced a terrible earthquake in March, 2011. I 1 my dear father in the earthquake and my mother was ill for a long time. I lost my school and some of my classmates and teachers. I never forget that 2  time in my life.

    In October, 2011, I moved to a new school 3 Red Sun Middle School. At first I didn't want to study at all and only 4 my old classmates very much. Later, the head teacher had a long talk with my mother and he hoped I would study hard. The teachers were very 5 to me and my new classmates helped me a lot. Then I felt the warmth(温暖) in the new class. And I got good  6 in the final exam.

    On the morning of May 7th, 2012, when I came into the 7, a big birthday cake on the teacher's desk came into my eyes 8  there were four big words "Happy birthday to you!" on the blackboard. Oh, it was my thirteenth birthday. My dear head teacher 9 up to me, saying, "Happy birthday to you, Jenny. And be a happy girl. " Then my classmates surrounded(围住) me with so many colorful flowers and gifts. I couldn't say 10, and the eyes were full of moving tears. I had a great time that day. I was sure it was my happiest birthday in my life and I would never forget it.

Emma was very excited. Today was the baseball game! The winners would all get trophies (奖杯). Emma decided to bring home a trophy to put on her shelf. She had never won a trophy before. 

She put on her red uniform, picked up her gloves and said to herself, "I hope I get a hit today."

On the way to field, Emma felt nervous. 

"Are you feeling okay, Emma?" her mother asked.

"I really don't want to strike out," Emma said.

"Just keep your eye on the ball and don't feel afraid. You can do it," Emma's mother said.

Emma was a great hitter in practice, but she had never hit a ball during a game. She almost always struck out. 

When the game started, Emma cheered (喝彩) loudly for her friends. She caught a fly ball to make an out, and everyone cheered for her. Emma struck out when it was her turn to bat, but her team was doing well. 

The game was tied (平局) and it was her team's last chance. Frankie was up first, and he hit the ball hard to get on base. Next up was Henry, but he struck out. Kara hit the ball, but she was out at first base. Frankie was able to run to third. That meant he could score (得分) and win the game if the next teammate got a good hit.

Emma closed her eyes and swung hard for the first time, but missed. 

"Keep your eye on the ball, Emma!" her mother called from the stands.

Emma heard it. So this time she kept her eyes wide open as she swung the bat. Crack! Emma hit the ball and ran as fast as she could. She was safe, and Frankie ran home. They won! 

"Great game, everyone!" said Emma's coach later. "Here are your trophies."

Emma held her shiny trophy high in the air. She couldn't wait to put the new trophy on her shelf at home.

One day in ancient Greece, King Hiero asked a crown maker to make him a golden crown. At first, he was very happy with it. 

"It's a nice crown, isn't it?" he asked his men. Later, 

However, he began to doubt that it was a real golden crown. "Is it made completely of gold?" he wondered. He sent it to Archimedes and asked him to find out the truth. 

"This problem seems difficult to solve. What should I do?" thought Archimedes. 

Archimedes was still thinking about this problem as he filled his bath with water. When he got into the bath, some water ran over. 

"That's it!" shouted Archimedes. "I know how to solve the king's problem!"

Archimedes went straight to the palace to see the king. First, he weighed the crown and asked the king for some gold of the same weight. 

Next, he put two pots into two big bowls and filled both pots with water. He put the gold into one pot, and some water ran into the bowl. Then he put the crown into the other pot. This time, even more water ran into the bowl. 

"Look at this, " said Archimedes to King Hiero. "A crown made completely of gold displaces less water than a crown made of gold and another metal. This crown displaced more water than gold of the same weight, so I'm certain that it's not completely made of gold. "

"The crown maker tricked me, didn't he? What a bad man he is!" shouted King Hiero. He then sent the crown maker to prison. 

Emma was new at this school and had no friends here. She felt a little {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(孤单的) and worried. Emma knew that it was not good for her study and life. So she decided to change. Emma is interested in writing {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(神奇的) stories. She wants to make friends to share the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(喜悦) of writing. 

One day, Emma was writing about Oliver's {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(奇遇): Oliver's heart {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(几乎) stopped. He walked over and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(轻敲) on the door . . . Suddenly, Emma {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(摇动) her head and stopped. It was too difficult to write on. Then she looked around the library and a good idea hit her. Emma put her {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(笔记本) on a shelf and left the library. She wanted others to keep writing. 

After a week, the notebook was still there. Emma opened it {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(神经紧张地) and saw {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(页) of new writing by different people! Her story finally had a good ending.
