I'm Bob. I work at night from Monday to Thursday. So in the daytime (白天), I often sleep for at least 7 hours. Then I get up, have some food and watch TV. I usually watch TV for more than two hours every day. At 7:00 p.m., I go to work by bike.

But on weekends, my life is different. I usually sleep at night and do different activities in the daytime. For example, last weekend was quite full for me. On Saturday morning, I went to learn dance. I have dance lessons once a week. In the afternoon, I went to play basketball with my friends. We played for three hours and felt excited. I thought it was good for my health. On Sunday morning, I drove to the dentist for teeth cleaning. In the afternoon, I went to the movies with my friend, Tom. I thought the movie was interesting, but Tom thought it was difficult to understand (理解).

On Saturday morning, Mrs. Brown asks Gina to study, but Gina says, "It's boring (无聊的) and difficult to study. " Mrs. Brown asks Gina what she thinks is interesting and easy.

Gina says, "Mom, you only do housework at home. I want to live like you. "

"Oh, you think so?" Mrs. Brown says. "All right. You can live like me. " Then she asks Gina to make breakfast with bread, milk and eggs. It's easy for Gina. After breakfast, Mrs. Brown asks Gina to tidy up (整理) the room. About 11:00, Gina thinks, "Oh, it's not easy. " At about 12:00, Mrs. Brown asks Gina to make chicken, rice and salad for lunch. After lunch, Gina wants to watch TV. But Mrs. Brown asks her to wash shoes. At about 3:30 in the afternoon, Gina says to Mrs. Brown, "Mom, can you help me wash them?"

"Oh, I can't. You say you want to live like me. But you know, no one helps me with housework, " says Mrs. Brown.

"OK, Mom. It's boring to do housework. And it's not easy. Now, I want to study my subjects. "

A son takes his old father to a restaurant for dinner. They sit down and order a meal（点餐）. The man orders some rice and vegetables with chicken. His father likes jiaozi very much, so he orders some jiaozi for his father. His father is very old and he doesn't look healthy. Some food is on his T-shirt or pants（裤子）after eating. Some people in the restaurant don't look happy about him when they see him eating food. But the son doesn't care (关心) at all.

When the son gives the waiter money, the waiter says, "Oh, the dinner is free."

The son asks, "Why?"

A young man is next to the waiter and says, "Sir, I'm the boss (老板) of this restaurant. I think you're a great man. You love your father very much, right? I learn a lot from you." The son says, "Yes, you are right. But what do you learn from me?" The boss says, "A lesson (课) for every son and hope (希望) for every old father."

Bonnie shook with cold. It was almost 1 . Bonnie needed a warm and safe place to spend the following months. 

Finding a new place to sleep was 2 than he thought. No place was right. Finally, Bonnie found a cave in a hill. It was 3 except for one thing. The opening was small because it was covered with a lot of soil and roots. "I'll dig out some soil and make the entrance bigger," he thought. Bonnie dug and dug. It took a lot of hard work and effort. 

The roots were too strong to be cleared away.4 he heard a loud sound, "rack". Bonnie turned quickly and saw a small squirrel. He smiled at Bonnie, "It seems that you need help." Bonnie sighed, "I have been trying to 5 this cave, but it's difficult." 

"I'm Jack, and I can help," said the squirrel. "But you are too small," said Bonnie. Bonnie sat down as Jack ran away. A few minutes later, he came back. 

"What you need is a book," said Jack. "Reading can help you. Books are full of knowledge. He handed Bonnie a thick book." 

Bonnie paid careful attention to the story about a lion and a mouse. 

The lion thought the mouse was too 6 to help him. One day the lion got caught in a 7 . The mouse chewed( 咬 ) the net's ropes and helped the lion run away. "The lion learned an important lesson," said Bonnie. "I think I did, too." The mouse had sharp teeth and so did Jack. Jack could help. The new friends made a fine team. Jack chewed through the thick roots and Bonnie dug out the soil. Finally, Bonnie could 8 the opening easily. 

"Are you 9 with your new home?" asked Jack. "Sure, I am!" said Bonnie, "I won't be homeless on such a cold day any more! And I have 10 something, too. Never look down upon others who appear to be weaker than you."
