There are many apple trees in a garden. They're good friends. One day an old tree is ill. There are many pests in the tree. Leaves of the tree turn yellow. The old tree feels very sad and unwell. Other trees send for a doctor for him. At first, they send for a pigeon, but she has no idea about it. Then they send for an oriole(黄鹂), and she can't treat the old tree well either. Then they send for a woodpecker. She is a good doctor. She pecks a hole in the tree and eats lots of pests. At last the old tree becomes better and better. Leaves turn green and green.

    This is a picture of my uncle. He likes math. He works in a bank. He helps the bank use their money well. He likes working with numbers. He goes to work by car, but sometimes he walks. My aunt is an engineer. She likes drawing pictures. She works in a big company. She designs computers. She goes to work by bus.  

    Lily has a fever. Now she and her mother are in the hospital. The doctor looks over(检查) her carefully. Then he says to her, "Don't worry. You've got a little cold. Take some medicine, drink more hot water and have a lot of rest. You can get better soon. "

    But Lily doesn't like taking any medicine. Then her mother says," If you want to get better ,take some medicine."

     " All right!" Then she takes some medicine.

    It is a fine Sunday. Mike and his mother are going to the West Lake with Bob and his parents. Bob and his parents come from England. They go to the West Lake by bus.

    Now they are on the dike (堤坝)of the lake. How beautiful! The water is gentle( 温柔的)and clean. The willows(柳树) on both sides are waving(挥手) to the visitors. They get on a boat and row to the middle of the lake. Sometimes the lake is as calm(平静的) as a mirror. Sometimes there is a little wind, and the boat is like a cradle (摇篮)in the water. There is a big fountain(喷泉) in the lake. It's really fantastic( 极好的).

    It's said that(据说) the West Lake is one of the fairylands(乐园)in the world. That's true. Mike and his friends want to visit it again.
