The Great Wall is known as the eighth wonder of the world. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world come to visit this place of {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in China.
Last Saturday I went to theGreat Wall {#blank#}2{#/blank#} some of my friends. It was a sunny day. On our way up, we saw many volunteers(志愿者) keeping working in the sun. They helped the elders with their bags., {#blank#}3{#/blank#} photos for some tourists and answered people's questions. Though they are very{#blank#}4{#/blank#} , they didn't stop to have a rest. We were deeply moved when we saw this.

Just at the moment, we saw {#blank#}5{#/blank#} little boy standing alone and crying. We went over and asked what {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to him. From his answer we knew that he couldn't find his mother. We told him not to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} about it and then we tried to get to touch with his mother with the phone number he gave us. Twenty minutes {#blank#}8{#/blank#} , his mother turned up. When she saw her son, she was very excited and thanked {#blank#}9{#/blank#} with tears in her eyes.

That day we not only enjoyed the beauty of the Great Wall, but also felt the warmth of the society. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  everyone can reach out a helping hand to others, the world will be more and more harmonious(和谐的).

    Over several thousand {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (year), we have lost lots of body hair, so it's strange that hair still {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (remain) on our brows. Some scientists say that eyebrows mainly work as {#blank#}7{#/blank#} special form of protection for the eyes. In fact, their job is so {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (importance) that some researchers are sure that if we didn't have {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they), we'd have evolved (进化) some other facial features to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (do) the same task.

    When I was 13 years old, a boy gave me an important gift. It was a smile.

    It was the early autumn of my first year at a new school, and my old school was far away. As a result, no one knew who I was. I was very lonely, and a{#blank#}1{#/blank#} to make friends with anyone.

    Every time I heard the other students talking and l{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, I felt my heart broken. I couldn't talk to anyone about my p{#blank#}3{#/blank#}, and I didn't want my parents to worry about me.

    Then one day, my classmates talked happily with their friends, but I sat at my desk unhappily as u{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. At that moment, a boy e{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the classroom. I didn't know who he was. He passed me and then turned back. He looked at me and, without a word, s{#blank#}6{#/blank#}.

    Suddenly, I felt the touch of something bright and f{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. It made me feel happy, lively and warm.

    That smile changed my life. I started to talk with the other students and made friends. Day by day, I became c{#blank#}8{#/blank#} to everyone in my class. The boy with the lucky smile has become my best friend now.

    One day, I asked him w{#blank#}9{#/blank#} he smiled, but he couldn't remember smiling at me!

    It doesn't m{#blank#}10{#/blank#} because all the dark days have gone. If you think you are lonely, you might always be alone. So smile at the world and it will smile back.
