Last Sunday, it was sunny. In the morning, I got up at six o'clock, then I brushed my teeth, washed my face. I was too hungry, I looked for my breakfast. To my surprised, I didn't find anything to eat. I had to cook by myself. At about 8 o'clock, I went to Anna's home. Many students were there. We played soccer. Some of us watched TV. But it was boring. At last, we went to the park. We rode our bikes and flew kites. We had a lot of fun.

    There are many nice people at my school. Let me introduce one of them to you. This is my best friend Lisa. She is our monitor. She is polite and helpful. She helps her classmates with their homework. She turns off the lights every day after school. Lisa likes reading. She is also a student librarian. She works in our library every Monday to Wednesday. She puts down the books and tidies up the bookshelves. She likes talking with others, too. Some students may need help. Lisa takes care of them.

My father and my mother are teachers. They work in a middle school. It's very far. They go to work by subway. They work very hard. I love them. My grandparents are in the USA. We are going to visit them by plane next year.

    Don't leave the TV on standby(待机) .

    Switch off all the lights when the room is empty.

    Tum up the air-conditioning by a couple of degrees. You don't need to live in a fridge.

Pollution

    Don't drop litter. Clean up your own mess, whether you are in town or out for a walk in the countryside. Birds and animals eat your leftovers (残余食物) and this can be very harmful (有害的) to them. Litter can also pollute rivers and the sea and can poison (毒死) the fish.

    Use public transport. Ride a bike or walk. Get your Mum and Dad out of their cars. They waste energy and pollute the air.

    Encourage your parents to buy eco-friendly ( 环保型的) cleaning products which use fewer harmful chemicals (化学物品) . Despite (尽管) the high price, they are well worth the extra money you spend more to save the environment!

Water

    Tum the tap off when you brush your teeth. We brush our teeth at least twice a day and each time we can waste 2-3 liters of water!

    Don't overfill the kettle. Put in just the amount you need. You will also save electricity!
