Last Saturday was October 12th. The weather was windy and cloudy. I was busy. I did my homework on that morning. The homework was not difficult, so I finished it quickly. Then I went shopping with my mother. We bought some food and apples. My mother bought a footballfor me.  I was excited. In the afternoon,I visited my grandpa. He had a headache. He took some medicine and stayed inbed. I did some housework for him. I cleaned his room, watered the flowers, washedhis clothes and cooked dinner. I was tired in the evening.     It was rainy last weekend. Amy and her parents couldn't go hiking(去远足), so they stayed at home. They were busy all day. Her mother cooked the meals for them and did the dishes(洗碗). Her father cleaned the room. He cleaned all the six rooms. Amy help them with the housework. They were very busy but very happy, because they all had lots of things to do.

    My name is Tom. I am twelve years old. I come from London. I'm tall and strong. I like Chinese food very much. It is very delicious. I often have noodles and beef. I can't cook the meals, so I always have meals at school. My favourite food is beef and potatoes. They are delicious. I also like Beijing Roast Duck very much. I can have it in the restaurant. The tortoise and the rabbit

    Rabbit loves running. He can run very fast. One day, he sees a small green animal with a hard shell(壳).

    "Hello," Rabbit says, "Who are you?" "I'm a tortoise." "What do tortoises like?" "We like running," Tortoise says. Rabbit laughs. "I can run very fast. Let's have a race (赛跑)."

    Rabbit is very fast. Tortoise is very slow. "I will (将会) win (获胜)," Rabbit thinks. Then he falls asleep (睡着的).

    Tortoise walks and walks. He walks past (经过) Rabbit and gets to the finish line (终点线). Tortoise wins!
