Kiyoto Saito is trying to change people's opinion of agricultural work through his unusual attire (打扮). Whether he's driving a tractor {#blank#}1{#/blank#} is standing in the fields, Kiyoto is always wearing an elegant suit.

    Kiyoto's family has been planting rice for around 400 years, but as a teenager he {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (find) the tradition boring and moved to the city. He returned to his native town two years ago{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (determine) to get involved in the family business.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} idea of wearing a suit in the fields started as a joke. One day, his brother joked about farming in an elegant suit, but Kyioto took it{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (serious). He viewed the idea as the perfect way to change public opinion of agricultural work. “Most people think of farmers{#blank#}6{#/blank#} ‘dirty all day'. I want youngsters to think ‘farming looks fun'” he said.

    At first no one seemed {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (understand) him. Even his family was surprised by his{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (choose) of farming attire. His grandfather worried {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (do) farm work in a suit would be dangerous.

    Now Kiyoto is famous and has been invited on various television shows. He also has a blog where he regularly {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (post) his farming experiences and photos of himself all dressed up.

    Tu Yoyo was honored with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}Oct. 5. She was the first Chinese citizen {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(win) a Nobel Prize in science. Tu {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(share) the prize with the Irish-born William Campbell and Satoshi Omura of Japan.

    Tu is a researcher at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine now. She  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(give) the prize for  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (develop) artemisinin (青蒿素) , a new drug therapy against malaria( 疟疾)， {#blank#}6{#/blank#} has saved millions of lives worldwide, especially in developing countries.

    Tu and her colleagues joined a government project to find a new malaria drug in the late 1960s. They made 380 herbal extracts from two thousand recipes from traditional Chinese medical books. In 1971, after nearly two hundred  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (fail), Tu's team  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(final) found an extract that was 100% effective against the malaria parasites-atremisinin. In 2001, the World Health Organization made artemisinin {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (it) first choice in the treatment of malaria.

    “The discovery of artemisinin is a gift to mankind from traditional Chinese medicine. It's the achievement of the research team. Winning the prize is  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} honor for Chinese science and traditional Chinese medicine,” Tu said.

    Daisy is a girl who cares about our environment. She always longs to help {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(endanger) species of wildlife. One day, she {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(wake) up and found a flying carpet which took her to many{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(place) to experience something amazing. In Tibet, Daisy saw an antelope looking sad and it told her the species was being killed. Then the carpet showed her a place {#blank#}4{#/blank#}there was some wildlife protection. There she came across {#blank#}5{#/blank#}elephant, from whom she knew they used to be hunted {#blank#}6{#/blank#}mercy. But now good things are being done to save local wildlife. Knowing that, Daisy burst into {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(laugh) in relief. At the end of the journey, she met a monkey {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(rub) itself to protect himself from mosquitoes. The monkey asked her to pay {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(much) attention to the rainforest. Finally, Daisy {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(full) understood the meaning of no rainforest, no animals, no drugs.
