One day a small boy was walking along the street in London. His name was Tom. It was a cold winter day in 1900. That day he could have no breakfast 1lunch. He wanted to buy bread, but he didn't2any money.

    His father died when he was very young. His mother was often very ill, so she could not 3Tom and his brother, Mike. They had to work to help their sick mother.

    He was small 4 his dream was very big. His wish was to be a great man in the world of film. So he worked very hard on singing and dancing. Saturday, June 16^th

    In the morning, we went camping along a path in Green Natural Park. We were happy because it was a 1 day. We were expecting an enjoyable two-day holiday. On the way, we kept singing and making jokes.

    However, in the afternoon, when we finished our2 at one o'clock, it was dark and windy. Soon, there was a shower. Unluckily, none of us brought 3. We ran about but we could find no place to hide.

    Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining. There were 4 to go before we reached the campsite（营地）. It was even worse that our small compass（指南针） showed that we went to the wrong way. We had 5!

    We had to make a quick 6 as it was raining heavily. Chris said we could set up a tent to hide in, so Mary and Tom helped to set up the tent. Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us7.     I was doing my homework one night when the lights suddenly went out. The flats in the opposite building were also in complete darkness.

    We carefully locked the doors and windows and then went to bed. The next morning, 9 I woke up, I quickly tested the light. I was 10 to find it working. Like others, I think the blackout (停电) brings problems and difficulties to our lives. I really hope that it won't happen too often.
