George Mallory was an English school teacher who loved climbing. In 1924, Mallory and a team of British1tried to get to the top of Mount Qomolangma, 2mountain in the world. No one had ever done it before.

    Mallory had already tried to3the top of Mount Qomolangma in 1921 and 1922, but he had4both times. In 1924, he tried again.
