Last Saturday, Tony went to see Benny. But he didn't know1Benny lived. 2the way, he stopped in front of a yellow house, and asked an old woman the3to Benny's house. "His house is not far from my house, "said the woman." It's behind the trees. But you can't get there 4. You can go there by bus. It'll5you hours to get there6 foot. ""What's7with her?" Tony thought, "I can see Benny's house from here now. It's behind the8."

    Then Tony walked to the other side of the trees. He found the old woman was9. There was a river in front of him, and he couldn't see a boat. The house was on the other side of the10.

    Who is that? That's Zhang Hao chen. He is one of the greatest young1in China.

    Zhang Hao chen was born2June 3. 1990 in Shanghai. He showed his3talent when he was only a small boy. He4his first music show in Shanghai Concert Hall at the age of five. In 2002, he took part5the fourth Tchaikovsky(柴可夫斯基)International Youngsters Music Competition. He became the6piano player who won the first prize in the history of the competition. In 2004, he took part in the 5th Asian International Chopin(肖邦)Piano Competition in Japan, and won the gold7. In 2005, Zhang Haochen went to8at the well—known Curtis Institute of Music(柯蒂斯音乐学院)in America  His teacher is Gary Graffman. Mr Graffman is also the teacher of the9musician Lang Lang.

    In 2009, Zhang Haochen won the gold prize in the world piano competition, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in the United States. The 19 year—old boy was the youngest piano player in the competition and he was also the10Chinese to win this prize.

    Prana, our beautiful dog, isn't with us anymore. She died several years ago. But while sharing our home, she brought so much joy and love into our lives that we still 1 her.

    It was an autumn day in Minnesota, US. We were 2 by a big snowfall for which no one was prepared. We have two 3 trees in our backyard. Prana loved apples. When she went outside, she'd catch an apple and sneak (偷偷地放) it into the 4 . The apples had been on the ground and were often muddy (沾满泥的). So I wasn't always 5 that Prana had brought them into the house. Every time, she would turn her head so I wouldn't see her hidden 6. It was our little game.

    One year, it snowed earlier than usual. Prana went outside. I noticed that she was madly digging holes and bringing the apples to the 7so they could be seen above the snow. She seemed busy digging up as many apples as possible during her yard time. I wondered 8 she was doing this.

    When I called her back into the house  she had her usual one apple in her mouth. About five minutes later, I looked outside. The yard was full of birds. Prana had 9 all those apples for her bird and squirrel friends to eat. She knew that they didn't have enough food to 10 such an early winter!

    As I saw this beautiful act, tears filled my eyes. Prana taught us how to live life with love.

    Mike is a new student of Class Two. He has a 1 face. Last Thursday, a student called Luke said to Mike, "Your face is so long. Nobody wants to 2you.
   Alice is the best student of Class 3. She walked to Luke and said, "Luke. Mike is good4every subject and he often helps others with schoolwork. He is 5 friendly to others

    Why did you say that?

    "But he 6 ugly (丑陋的)don't you think so "asked Luke.

    "No. I think you have an ugly heart(心) "said Alice.

    Luke didn't know what to say and he left. Mike said 7 to Alice. "You're welcome," Alice aid. "it's8 the day after tomorrow. What about going to play9 in the morning.

    "Sounds great!" said Mike. "And I think we can ask Luke to play with 10. I know tennis is his favorite sport. And I think he can be one of my friends."

    This morning I got an email from Roy. It seems that my boy really enjoys his new life at the University of Harvard.

    The1made me think of the first day when we moved into this house.

    Little Roy ran around the new house with great excitement and tried to move his own things into the house such as his toys, books and clothes.2, his little hand knocked over(打翻)a bottle of paint on the shelf. The paint made the tidy floor and white wall a terrible mess. "Oh, my God！"My wife rushed in angrily. I looked at my son, and his small face was filled with3.

    I4and held his hand, "Take it easy, Roy. Now let's do something to make it look5."I took out a6 ."You see, Dad is a magician(魔术师).I can change it into a big tree."

    His mother soon helped paint some butterflies and flowers on the wall.

    We spent the whole afternoon7and laughing. The wall became a beautiful forest with plants, birds and small animals. Blue sky and white clouds were also painted by Roy. On that day, everybody in the house knew something8happened.

    The night before Roy left for the University of Harvard, he asked me if I still remembered the day when he knocked over the paint." Since then I've9worried about making mistakes, "he continued, "I believe I can always10ways to solve all the problems."
