阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中选出最佳选项。

A

After the Spring Festival, I found some of my mom's daily habits have changed.

Her cooking way was different. Vegetables that had been cooked crisply became very tender and soft. Fish that had been fried became soup. Her old shredded (切成细条的) potato turned into diced potato… Feeling strange, dad and I asked Mom the reason for the change. But all she said was, "Just trying a different taste". Then she was silent.

But it wasn't just her cooking way. Mom also changed other habits. After dinner, instead of watching films on TV as usual, she would put on her newly-bought sports clothes and asked Dad to go out for a walk. After they came back home, mom would lose herself in magazines or newspapers about healthcare. Mom almost never gets sick. Why was she suddenly interested in medicine?

I couldn't understand her "abnormal" behavior. Then one day I came across her micro blog. "While visiting my parents during the Spring Festival, I suddenly realized that they are in their 70s now," my mom had written. "They move slowly and it is hard for them to do the housework. I should visit them more often……

"Some cooking should be changed to keep them healthy. They like fish soup, diced potato, tender and soft vegetables……

"I must also keep fit by doing physical exercise. If my parents are too weak to move around, I can be strong enough to take care of them. When I am old, my son can also pay less attention to taking care of me……"

When I read this, I felt very sorry. I used to complain that Mom didn't understand me and couldn't give me everything I wanted. I always thought there was a wide gap between us. But now I completely understand her. How great she is! She always thinks of others before herself. Everything she does is to help the people she loves live better lives. How unselfish her love is!

(2)、Which one of the following is one of mother's "abnormal" behavior?

A、After her parents were ill. B、After the Spring festival. C、When Mum was 70 years old. D、After Mom started her micro blog.
(4)、Why did mom change her cooking way?

Technology has changed the way we live and especially the way we work. For many jobs, workers no longer need to be in the office building. People can telework: they can work at home or in any place where they can use the necessary technology.

It is easy to think that this freedom of working is good for workers and for families. But as it turns out, teleworking is both good and bad. A new report looks at the advantages and disadvantages of teleworking at home. It looks at 15 countries including Argentina, Brazil, India, Japan, the United States and 10 European nations.

According to Vargas, the lead author of the report, the study finds that about 20% of people in Europe who work in an office are reported to have high levels of stress. However, there are over 40% of stressed-out people in Europe among those who deal with busy work at home. He says those stressed-out people who work at home have trouble sleeping. The report also shows that teleworkers say that they often work alone and are likely to work longer than in the office.

But the report also says there are advantages for those who telework part-time, or not all the time. It says this is good not only for the workers, but also for leaders and companies. " The findings show that if workers do it on a part-time basis, this way of working can turn out to be positive results for workers, leaders and companies. " The report adds, " Two or three days per week seems to be the sweet spot. " Half the time in the office and half the time outside the office seems to be perfect.

Vargas explains that many organisations have developed some working rules to solve this problem. They set maximum(最大量) numbers of days per week, during which people can work outside the work-site. Usually, workers are able to telework two or three days a week.

①While dogs cannot speak, they do show their feelings with body language and voices. Watch a dog's actions, you'll see how it uses ears, eyes, eyebrows, lips, nose, mouth and tail to express its feelings.

②Happy: A dog that is happy and excited to see you will look at you and wag its tail, or it will run around quickly in circles. Some happy dogs will jump up on you.

③Scared: A scared dog acts differently from a happy one. A frightened dog puts its tail down between its legs. Or it lays its ears back to head. Some dogs growl(咆哮)to show they are afraid. Others try to hide.

④Submissive(顺从的): Rolling over generally means the dog is happy and being submissive. In fact, the dog is saying, "You're the boss." It taps you with a paw or places its head on your leg.

▲    : A dog who stands still facing another dog or a person with direct eye contact and with ears and tail up is warning of a coming attack. Dogs show one of these behaviours when they want to be left alone, too. A dog that is not feeling good will open its mouth and show its teeth, or it will growl.

⑥Alert(警觉的): The dog is alert for some reason. If you are training it and its ears raise up, it means the dog is paying attention to you and waiting for your orders.

⑦Dogs like being with people, so they try to get your attention. Dogs also know your body language. If you learn a dog's body language, you'll improve the relationship with the dog.
