My grandma moved to a new house. The houses in the neighborhood were all new and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (look) the same. My brother and I planned {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (make) something special as a gift for Grandma's new house. We came up {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the idea of building a deck (平台) in her backyard (后院).

That day, Grandma was away with Jenny, one of her {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (neighbor). My brother and I started working. It was not easy to build a deck. We worked all day without {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (take) breaks. At last, we finished it and went home with satisfaction.

The next morning, we came to Grandma's home and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (open) the back door. To {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (we) surprise, the deck was not there! Just then, Jenny came out and said, "Hey, look! Someone built a deck for my house."

I still remembered the first day I met Jane. When she walked into the classroom， all the students were very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} because there was a big red birthmark（胎记）on her face. Jane didn't know at all even though some bad boys played jokes on her and laughed at her. Instead， she was always {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

Lu Han was born in 1990 in Beijing. He is famous {#blank#}1{#/blank#}a singer. He was once a member of South Korean group EXO. Now he is not only a singer but also {#blank#}2{#/blank#} actor. His first movie is Miss Granny (《重返20岁》).The movie is interesting and it is about a story of a 70-year-old granny (祖母). The granny becomes twenty again after {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (take) a photo. After that, something interesting {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (happen) to her. In the movie，Lu Han plays the role of the granny's grandson. It {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) his first movie. He didn't want  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (let) his fans down. So he learnt from the other {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (actor) and practised very hard. The director says Lu Han is a good actor. "{#blank#}8{#/blank#}is very hard-working and polite," says the director.

Marcos was a hard- working farmer. Every day he asked his only son to 1 him on the farm, but Paolo seldom got out of bed before noon. Marcos was very 2 about his only son.

I was quite uneasy(不爽的) about him, but I didn't want to have any trouble. I just read the newspaper, 7 my coffee and took a piece of chocolate. The boy looked at me in 8 . Then he took a second piece of my chocolate. I could hardly believe it. But I still didn't say 9 to him. When he took a 10 piece, I felt more angry than uneasy. I thought, "Well, I shall have the last piece. " And I got it. 

The boy gave me a strange look, then stood up. As he left, he shouted out aloud, "There's something wrong with that woman!" 11 looked at me, but I didn't want to quarrel with the boy, so I kept 12 . I did not realize(意识到) that I had made a mistake until I finished my coffee and planned to 13 . My face turned 14 when I saw my unopened chocolate under the newspaper. The chocolate that I had been eating was15 !
