Twenty years ago, my father, John, wanted to be a businessman. He wanted to be rich. So he worked very hard and every day he went home very late.

    One night when he came home from work, a robber stopped him and wanted to take his money. My father was very afraid. He didn't want to lose his money. But he didn't know what to do. Luckily a policeman came and caught the robber. My father thanked the policeman politely.

    Now my father is a policeman. He wants to help other people.

Hi, my name is Li Hua. I come from Huizhou, China. I am twelve and I am a student of Grade Seven. I like red very much. There are four people in my family. And these are my four good friends.

One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked . They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. 

Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.

Being outgoing is good for your life. Those who are more outgoing like to meet lots of people and have more fun in life. In fact, being outgoing is not so hard as you think. Even shy people can be outgoing. 

 You can start becoming outgoing with your best friends or a group of friends. But the real challenge comes when you meet strange people or new friends. Smile more, and usually they will return your smile. In this way, you may have some talks. 

 Start a talk. Just a simple" Hello" or"How is it going" is a good start. If you want to make interesting talks, you should read news in the newspapers and prepare your views(观点), or surf the Internet for new information and then keep that in mind. 

 The easiest way to become more outgoing is to go out. This is also the most important step. Go to a park, beach, club, party or any other place that you think can be fun, and you may make new friends there. 

 As we all know, giving gifts is a great way to show our love and care to the birthday person. However, sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right gift. Here is some advice that can help you choose a good gift.

To pick the best gift, you should know the birthday person very well. Start by making a list of all his or her likes. For example, if the person loves traveling, you can buy a map or a backpack. Then try to find something the person needs. If you don't know what the person needs, you can ask others for help.

 Gifts are all about making people feel special. So it's important that the gift should be very special. It doesn't have to be very expensive, but it should be meaningful to the person

 No matter what gift you choose, always add your little touch to it. You can write a card or a note to show your heart. This will bring a smile on the birthday person's face.

 Besides preparing gifts, you can also organize surprise parties. A successful one always makes people excited and surprised. So you can have a try. There are many kinds of surprise parties.
