Jim is an English boy. He comes to China with his father and mother. Jim's parents come here to work. Jim comes here to study. He is in NO. 5 Middle Schoo1. He gets up early every day. He isn't late for school. He studies hard. He can read English well. He often helps us with our English. and we often help him with his Chinese. After school he likes playing football, swimming, running, jumping and riding. He makes many friends here. We are glad to stay with him. On Sundays he often helps his mother clean the house. He likes Chinese food very much. He likes living here.

My favourite festival is the Spring Festival. People also call it Chinese New Year. It often comes in January or February every year. It's very important to every Chinese. We always have a big family dinner together. We often eat fish and dumplings. At night we watch firework and watch TV. We eat sweets and peanuts(花生). We go to visit relatives and friends. We often get red packets with some money in them. We can buy some toys and books. We say “Happy New Year” to each other at the Spring Festival.

    American schools begin in September after a long summer holiday. There are two terms in a school year: the first term is from September to January, and the second is from February to June. High school students take only four or five subjects each term. They usually go to the same classes every day, and they have homework for every class. After class they can do many interesting things. After high school, many students go to universities. They usually have to give a lot of money to the university. So many students work after class to get the money for their study.
