Many people like travelling by plane, but I don't like it because airports are usually far from cities. You have to get there early and w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} for hours for the plane to take off and it is often late. Planes are fast, b{#blank#}2{#/blank#} it still takes hours to check in(办登机手续) and get out of the airport.

I like travelling by train. I think trains are safe. Railways stations are usually in cities. When you are l{#blank#}3{#/blank#} for a train, you can catch another one. You can walk around in the train and open the window. You can see many interesting things on your way, too. 

I a {#blank#}4{#/blank#}like cars. You can start your journey(旅程) when you want to, and you don't need to get to the railway station or a bus stop. You can also carry many things with you. But sometimes there is a traffic j{#blank#}5{#/blank#} on the road and you will feel you're wasting time on the road.

Amy's week in Hangzhou

Amy is a girl from the UK. In the summer holiday, she visits Uncle Liu in Hangzhou. She stays there for seven days. 

On Monday, Amy walks around the West Lake. There are many lotuses in the lake. Some are white. Some are pink. They are so beautiful! 

On Tuesday, Amy has dinner in a famous restaurant. The food is so yummy! She likes Chinese food. She can use chopsticks now! 

On Wednesday, Amy climbs mountains in the early morning. The air is so clean. At the top of a mountain, she drinks Longjing tea. It smells good. 

On Thursday, Amy paints near the West Lake. People say "Very good" when they see Amy's painting. Amy is happy! It's her favourite day. 

On Friday, Amy goes shopping in a shopping mall. She buys some silk (丝绸) for her mother's birthday. 

What does Amy do on Saturday? She has a Chinese class with Uncle Liu. And now she can say "ni hao" and "zai jian". 

On Sunday morning, Amy goes back home. She says "zai jian" to Uncle Liu and all her friends. "I love Hangzhou! I will be back next summer!"
