My wonderful travel experience

I have travelled a lot and I have many travel experiences.

I am Mandy and I live in the city with my parents and my little sister. The city life is boring sometimes. I love going to my grandmother's village(村庄). 

It is so much fun living in the village. I like collecting leaves (收集树叶) there. I usually do it on my way to the only shop in the village. They have many different shapes. Some are like a heart and some are like a hand. . . I can make a lot of things with leaves. One fun thing is making leaf pictures. 

This is how I make a leaf picture. I take a leaf out and I also need paper, glue (胶水), a brush(刷子) and paints (绘画颜料). First, I glue the leaf onto the paper and wait for an hour. Then, I paint over the leaf and the paper and let the paints get dry(变干). Next, I take the leaf off the paper. There it is—a beautiful leaf picture on the paper!

I sometimes make birthday cards or other things with the leaf pictures. My friends like them very much. I tell them，"They are not just gifts from me. They're gifts from my grandmother's village！"

Nick had a book in his hand and tears in his eyes. "What worries you, Nick?" asked Mrs. White. 

"Our teacher asked us to recite the p {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Little Jim. I don't think I can do it well." said Nick. 

"Why not?" asked Mrs. White. 

"My classmates said that I can't. And I myself also think so," said Nick {#blank#}2{#/blank#} a sad voice, "The poem is so long and difficult for me."

"Dear son," said Mrs. White, "look at that snail（蜗牛） on the wall. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} slow it is! {#blank#}4{#/blank#}watch it. You will see it get to the highest part at last. So just try a few lines each day, and you may recite it in the end."

"Well, then let me try {#blank#}5{#/blank#} best to recite it, Mom." said Nick. 

And he tried it. 

At last, the day came. To everyone' surprise, Nick did not m {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a word when reciting the poem to the class. And the teacher said Nick did best. 

"And now tell us how you could recite the poem so well." said the teacher. 

"I saw a snail climb up the wall little by little. It {#blank#}7{#/blank#} stop. At last, it arrived at the highest part. So I also recited the poem little by little, and did not give up." said Nick. 

"Well done, Nick!" said the teacher. "Now boys and girls, let us give a good c {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to Nick and the snail on the wall." The classroom rang with a great cheer.

As an old saying goes, "The last leg of a journey marks the halfway point." This is exactly the case with me.

There was a time when I wondered how I should express myself and explain my opinions 1 . My parents and teacher gave me a lot of help, 2 didn't work well. And I often got low marks on writing and failed 3 proper words to express my ideas. So I 4 to make every effort to improve my writing skills. I read ancient poetry loudly every morning. At first, I made great progress, But as I continued, it became much 5 for me to improve myself.

Although 6 process was difficult, I never considered giving up. 7 important writing is! And 8 classmates supported me powerfully. They told me the saying, "The last leg of a journey marks the halfway point." I 9 by the words and I kept going. At last, my teacher was pleased 10 my writing.

I am going to have a party tomorrow night. I tell my mother that she needn't do 1 for me. My friend Jane would like to help me, 2 she can't. Because she has to look after her sister. So I will do everything by myself. I try to make 3 party a nice one.

Gifts are a way for people to show love. When you plan to choose gifts for your friends or family, you may spend lots of time thinking about{#blank#}1{#/blank#} their favourite gifts are. I think a handmade gift is the best choice. And you don't need to worry about {#blank#}2{#/blank#} your gift is expensive or not. 

For example, on Teachers'Day, many students would like to make  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(they) teachers gifts by hand. It may be a simple(简单的) handmade wallet,{#blank#}4{#/blank#} it may be a warm scarf. The handmade greeting card(贺卡) is a nice choice too. Many students stick or draw some pictures, and then they write down{#blank#}5{#/blank#} they really thank teachers' help and encouragement. More than anything, the gift comes from the heart and shows them your love and care. I believe teachers will feel  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(surprise) at all the things students make by themselves. By the way, do you know  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Teachers' Day is? It falls on September 10th.
