Art has always been my favorite {#blank#}1{#/blank#} because it allows me to do my favorite bobby. I still remember when I was young, I would always paint on books, pieces of paper and walls. But now in school, there are only four art lessons {#blank#}2{#/blank#} week. I notice that every lesson seems to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} quickly because I lose myself in my artwork. Drawing takes me to a wonderful world.

I love drawing so much that whenever I have time between classes, I find myself drawing something. I have spent so much time {#blank#}4{#/blank#} my skills that even my classmates are often surprised. But I never talk with too much pride about my {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and I am always thankful for their praise. 

I especially enjoy drawing cartoons because I can just shut off my {#blank#}6{#/blank#} and let my creativity run {#blank#}7{#/blank#} like a horse. Once in a while, I draw things that even surprise myself. Some are pretty, while others are {#blank#}8{#/blank#} that should not be seen by the teachers. They are only for my classmates. 

So, I must say that I always feel {#blank#}9{#/blank#} when I am drawing something enjoyable. For me, drawing is a natural way to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} myself. It allows me to follow my instincts (直觉) easily and lets my feelings guide my hand. 

Languages play an important part in our life. Mother language is a very intimate（密切的）thing to us. For people who speak an ancient tongue as their mother language, it helps them keep their traditions. If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to a man in his own language, that goes to his heart. 

The associations that lie in the languages bring ideas and pictures to our minds. Associations are just the power of languages. However, how language came into being is unknown. All we know is that some early men invented certain sounds to express thoughts and feelings, actions and things, so that they could talk with each other. Later they agreed on certain signs, which could be put together to show those sounds, and which could be written down. Those sounds, whether spoken or written in letters, are called words

Words become filled with meaning for us by experience; and the longer we live, the more certain words bring back to us the happy and sad events of our past; and the more we read and learn, the more the number of words that mean something to us increases. 

Over the last century, more than 400 languages have died out. Some languages are now spoken only by a few dozens of people. Why are humans speaking fewer languages than we once did? The answer has to do with globalization（全球化）. Nowadays, it's more useful to speak certain languages-English is one example-rather than others. 

As US writer Rita Mae Brown wrote, "Language is the roadmap of a culture. It tells where its people come from and where they are going." We should learn to choose our words carefully and use them correctly, or they will make ourselves silly and common. 

We have a lot of trouble in our life, but we have to face them. When you are feeling {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（happy）or forgetting how great you are, there are six ways to make you {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （feel）good about yourself.

Look in the mirror and say to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （you）, "I'm a special person and there's no one {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the world like me. I can do anything!" It may not {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（sound）so good, but it really works! 

Do something nice for someone. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（help）others always makes you feel good. 

Smile! Be {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（friend）to people you meet. Look for the good things in your friends and family. 

Learn something new! Have you always wanted to decorate your own room or learn how to swim? Go for it! New challenges are fun and give you a sense of accomplishment when you have finished. 

Read and start {#blank#}8{#/blank#} diary. Turn off the TV and let your imagination（想象）fly! If you have any thoughts, dreams or anything you want, write {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（they）down! Writing always helps to express your feelings. 

Stay {#blank#}10{#/blank#} your family. We all have our family time. Talk with your mom and dad or maybe even your cousin.

Wang Ming is my classmate. He has made great progress this term. In the past，

I was doing the work in the garden yesterday. It was a soft evening and I was   making the most of it when I heard a neighbor's voice coming from the path out of our garden. 

I found there was a man lying on his back on the path with his eyes closed. I   recognized him. I had seen him doing the drunkard's(酒鬼) walk along that path several times. 

I stopped to walk out. " Do you need some help?"I asked. 

He opened his eyes and said, " Probably. " Then he told me because of arthritis(关节炎) he couldn't walk well at the most of times. I thought I should do it when he asked to help him go home where he lived a few hundred metres away. 

I tried to let him walk under his own strength with me guiding him but that   was getting us nowhere. It was easier to carry him, but that would be a real insult(侮辱) to him. So, I held his left hand with my left hand and grabbed his belt with my right hand. Then we started walking slowly. 

On the way he told me his name, what he had worked as, what holidays he had been, how wonderful his granddaughter was, what his wife's name was, and what a hard time she would give him when he got home!

Thank goodness! His wife wasn't in when we walked forty- five minutes back to his home. 

If we wait until we feel good about helping before we help, then people will go unhelped and we will become the ones who end up walking on by. 

With the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of technology, a digital teacher called"Hongling" appeared in a Shanghai community to help students by {#blank#}2{#/blank#} textbook contents(内容). The digital teacher is {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to answer questions in both Chinese and English. She can also search for information online. Hongling is the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of a teamwork between the government and the local technology company Xmov. They {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a program in November last year to provide learning chances for people of all ages.
