My name is Jack. Today is my family day. In the morning, we clean the house. Dad and Mum clean the living room and two bedrooms. My brother Jim cleans the kitchen and the bathroom. I am in the study. I put away books and toys. Wow! The rooms are nice and clean now.

In the afternoon, we go to my uncle' s home. My uncle is tall and friendly. He has glasses. He is a teacher. My aunt is a good cook. She cooks chicken, beef, soup and Chinese noodles. What delicious food! And their son （儿子） Tom has a little puppy. We play together. So happy!

I'm Linda. Today I want to say the seasons(季节). It's warm in spring. The trees are green and the flowers are beautiful. I often take a walk with my brother in the park. In summer, the weather is very hot and it often rains. I often go swimming with my friends. In autumn, the days get shorter and the nights get longer. It's often sunny, but not too hot. I like winter best. In winter, it often snows, it's beautiful. I often make a snowman with my parents，we are happy. 

Many people don't have the same hobbies, but they can still be good friends. Li Yang and Wang Li are good friends. Li Yang likes collecting stamps and often shows them to Wang Li. Wang Li doesn't like collecting things. He likes swimming. Wang Li often asks Li Yang to go swimming with him. But Li Yang always says he is busy. Yes, he is always busy with his stamps. "You should collect something," Li Yang often says to Wang Li. Wang Li likes playing the violin, but Li Yang doesn't. Li Yang likes playing the piano. They like to help each other. That's why they are good friends.

Many parents believe that students wearing school uniforms look nicer. But some students have turned school time into a fashion show（时装表演）. This distracts（分心）them from learning because they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} more time on their own clothes than homework. Most of school uniforms are e{#blank#}4{#/blank#} than many other kinds of clothes.Some parents say school uniforms last longer because they can be washed many times. Students can g{#blank#}5{#/blank#} used school uniforms from their brothers, sisters or c{#blank#}6{#/blank#} and they are free. These are all advantages （优点） of wearing school uniforms.

Sandy is a taxi driver in London.She tells us about her work and some of her experiences.

 1 did you start？

I've been a taxi driver for about five years.Before that，I was a bus driver in London，and I enjoyed it，but I wanted to be more independent，so 2 and started driving my taxi.

Have you ever had any famous passengers？

Oh yes. I've had film stars, politicians, you know, some famous people. About a year ago, a really famous actor got into my taxi. I took him to the airport. There was 3 traffic and we spent a long time getting there, so he missed his plane. It wasn't my fault but when he got out of the taxi, he said some things that were not very 4 to me! I said to him,  "Next time，take a bus!"

Have passengers ever 5 anything in your taxi？

Oh yes, all kinds of things in here, a suitcase, a hat, mobile phones of course, even a dog once! Years ago, a woman forgot a pair of shoes on the back seat. And one time some teeth here! Not real teeth of course, false teeth. And people have asked me to do some strange jobs. Once a doctor stopped me outside a hospital and asked me to take a skeleton （骨架） to the hospital in the countryside. And I did.But I asked the doctor to pay 6 the skeleton couldn't pay after all.

What's the worst part of your job？

Good question. I've always enjoyed being a taxi driver.But of course，sometimes，it's not great.I don't like driving around without a passenger, but it's better than just

 7 passengers at the airport or at a railway station.

Tom and Fred are students. They are in the same class in their school. Today, they have a fight in class and their teacher feels very angry. She says to them,"Stay here after class this afternoon, and write your names a hundred times!"

After the last lesson, all the students go home, but Tom and Fred stay in the classroom with their teacher. They begin to write their names. Then Fred is very sad and begins to cry! The teacher looks at him and says, "Why are you crying, Fred?" "Because his name is Tom Black, and my name is very, very long. My name is Frederick Hollingsworth, "Fred says.
