International Day of Families
The International Day of Families is celebrated on May 15 every year. It is to raise people's attention to the happiness and progress of the family. To celebrate the 30th International Family
Day this year, Family Center will hold some family activities.
Activities for the family:
☆ Family sports.
☆Reading a letter to your family.
☆A cooking competition among families.
Time: 9:00 a. m. -5:00 p. m. , on May 15th
Place: on the South International Square
Prize: first prize-a five-day foreign tour
second prize-a seven-day domestic(国内的)tour
third prize-a four-day domestic tour
Rules:
Each family can choose two or three kinds of activities. When you sign up(报名), you should make a decision. All the letters must be written by families themselves. They will not be returned, so please keep a copy. Don't be late, or you'll not be allowed to take part in these activities. Families who want to take part in the activities must hand in their application forms(申请表)before May 5th or you can call 2877-2197 to sign up before May 10th. And we will provide breakfast and lunch.

How can we tell whether a drink is healthy or not? Recently, Shanghai began to grade drinks with four levels? A, B, C, and D.Level A and B drinks are healthier, while level C and D drinks have much sugar and fat.
Level A | 330ml soda | 0 sugar |
Level B | 330ml sports drink | ≈9g to 24g sugar |
Level C | 250ml energy drink | ≈32g sugar |
Level D | 500ml milk tea | ≈45g to 65g sugar |
The more, the better?
Some students have energy(能量)drinks before doing sports or taking exams. Energy drinks have a lot of sugar and caffeine(咖啡因). They could make one feel more excited. But remember not to drink too much at a time.
Do you know?
The World Health Organization(世界卫生组织)says children should have no more than 25g sugar a day.
Are sports drinks necessary?
·Having sports drinks sometimes is OK. They give us vitamins and minerals(矿物质).
·There is no need for them when you do sports for less than two hours.
·For people with heart problems, it is best not to have sports drinks.
