The children stopped talking as Miss Hughes came into the classroom. Then they1 as one boy said, "Good morning. Teacher" Miss Hughes said good morning too and told the2 to sit down. All the students were watching her, waiting to3 her.

I have changed

As two years of junior high school life has gone by, I have changed a lot. 

It was late afternoon. The shade(阴凉处) came around to the front of the house,1 it was not too hot. My brother Tommy and I decided to do some drawing there.

Tommy drew a picture2 shade. He said," It helps me feel cool."I looked at my hot sun picture and planned to try to draw 3 in Tommy's way.

Then I saw our friends Mario and Katie walking to us, They stopped and looked at our pictures, Mario 4 at Tommy's picture and asked," What's this?"

" Shade," Tommy answered. Mario looked at the picture for a few 5 , and then picked up the blue chalk(粉笔). When he finished 6 , he told us," Do you know7 it is? It's cool water!" Tommy and I liked his picture. Then, Katie jumped up and took the white chalk.

 Joe is an American. When Joe was born, he had a problem with his heart and doctors had to perform an operation(手术) on him. When he was 3, Joe had his second operation. This operation didn't go well and he even couldn't move the left side of his body. The doctors at the hospital didn't think he could get better. Then the family moved to Florida.

 Joe liked being in the water and his mother thought swimming could help him. First, they went to swimming pools in hotels, but some hotel guests didn't like them being there. Then one day she went with Joe to a place called Dolphin Plus, where people swam with dolphins. Joe met Fonzie, a 3-meter-long, 275 kilogram dolphin there and the story really began.

 Soon, Joe was eager to see Fonzie every day. He loved playing with him and feeding him. Every time Joe arrived, Fonzie came to see him right away. Joe's mother told him always to feed Fonzie using his left hand, so Joe used his left side more and more. Slowly, he got better and better.

 Joe's mother saw that Fonzie helped him a lot, and she knew it was a good idea for other people, too. So, she and her family worked to open a place called Island Dolphin Care. It's next to Dolphin Plus and many people with health problems come to spend time with the dolphins.

 Joe is now over 30 years old and very well. However, Fonzie died in 2004 when Joe was 17. Joe wrote:"Fonzie was a great friend to me; he and I shared a lot of good times. He always put a smile on my face when I was feeling down."

 Will and Mia have been working for weeks on a song for a band competition on Saturday evening.

"Ready for 1 ?" Frank walked in and asked.

 Then Will realized that he2 all about it. He didn't want to make Frank sad, but he really wanted to practice his song. Maybe he could find a3 to make him leave.

"What about another time for basketball? I don't feel so4 ." Will said with a small cough.

"No problem," Frank said, "Hope 5 feel better soon."

 Will watched his friend go away. "Lying(说谎) was6 than I imagined," he thought.

 Then Will hit the drum a final time. "What do you think?" he looked at Mia hopefully.

"7 !" She played her guitar with a great joy.

"That sounds great!" Suddenly they found it was Frank who stood there and said.

"Thanks," Will tried to 8 quickly. "It was strange. I came home and suddenly felt fine."

"That's good. I brought you a movie 9 you were feeling bad." Frank smiled but it seemed forced(强迫).

 The next morning, when they met at the bus stop, Frank walked away 10 without looking at Will.
