Imagine walking around a fashion store. You see a beautiful leather bag and want {#blank#}1{#/blank#} it. But in fact, it's made from recycled fruit and food waste. Would you still buy it?

Song Youyang, a 30-year-old material designer, works on developing products. She studied material design at a university in Germany and now lives in China. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} she was designing some new products, she couldn't find any suitable biomaterials (生物材料) to work with. So, she and her team decided to develop {#blank#}3{#/blank#} own new material from fruit waste.

The resulting material {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a lot like leather. It keeps the fruits' texture (质地), sense of touch and nice smell. Song and her team have used this new material to make fashion {#blank#}5{#/blank#} , such as bags, lamps and so on.

The designer thought these products would be {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. But in fact, not many customers have bought them. "Many people have their old ideas about biomaterials," said Song. "They think these materials are too expensive or of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} quality." As a result, it's quite difficult for these materials to become {#blank#}8{#/blank#} used. But Song still believes biomaterials will shape the {#blank#}9{#/blank#}. She and her team will {#blank#}10{#/blank#} working on new types of "green" materials and products.

Besides Song's team, many other fashion companies are {#blank#}11{#/blank#} working towards the same goal. They are showing us that fashion can be environmentally friendly.

These days, more and more people like the "city walk" around China. The city walk is a kind of city tour coming from the UK. It means tourists follow a planned route（路线）working deeply on the city's history and culture. During the traditional kind of travel, people need to follow a group of people. But city walk routes are special for every tourist. People probably choose a route on their own and move on foot without a purpose. They can also talk with locals（当地人）and taste local food on their way. 

City walkers may be tourists from other places or local young people. For tourists, by taking part in a city walk, they can learn the city's history and culture. For the local young people, they may spend weekends knowing more about their living places. And they even share their routes and places online. So more people get interested in their cities and come to visit them. 

Now the city walk is very hot. However, we also find that to make money, some travel agencies（旅行社）may make some routes without understanding the culture and history of a city. That will make tourists lose interest in the city walk. What's more, many young people spend much time taking photos to just show themselves online.

Do you know about Sally? She's good-looking and well-spoken, but also is obedient(听话的). That's to say, she'll do anything that you ask her to do. Sally is a personal assistant robot. Bill Moir. a university teacher and computer engineer, spent more than a year finishing this robot. And now Sally can do many things, such as turning on the radio, and even playing and working on computers.

In other parts of the world, there are similar robots,but Bill's is to help disabled (残疾的) people around the home.

About one month ago, Bill said, "I'll make a special house. When you come in, Sally will be there on the big screen for you. You can ask her to read your e-mails, tell you the news and how the weather is. You can also askher to help you buy something you need.She'll be able to do many other things if you like."

Although Sally is a robot, it seems that she could do a better job than a human helper.

Bill's working on a new project (项目) now. He wants to improve Sally so that she can do more and better work for people.

One winter morning after breakfast, I went to the garden and was very surprised. I saw my father's big footprints in the snow. I knew those footprints well. I didn't know what to do—I need help. 

When I got back to my room, I opened the door. And there was my father, sitting on my bed!

The man sitting on my bed was about fifty and had long, dirty black hair and a black beard(胡须)—he was my father. His clothes were very old and dirty, and his face was terribly white and thin. His shoes had holes in them and his hat did, too. He looked terrible. 

" I see you're wearing nice new clothes, " he said, looking at me. 

" Widow Douglas bought them for me, " I said. 

" And look at this nice bed and soft blankets(毛毯), and I have to sleep with the pigs!" he said. " I know that she's sending you to school, and you probably think you're better than your father, don't you?"

" Maybe I do and maybe I don't, " I answered without thinking. 

" Remember, Huck, I'm your father, not that Widow Douglas, " he cried, looking at me angrily. " Now I'm here and you're my son again, and sons do what their fathers tell them. I've never been to school and your mother couldn't read or write when she died. You don't need to learn anything. I don't want to see you near a school! Is that clear?" He saw a book near my bed and threw it across the room. 

I was really afraid and said, " Yes, father. "

I couldn't look at him. He got up and said, " I know Judge Thatcher has your money. It's my money now because I'm your father. " He got up from the bed and left. I knew that he was going to get drunk(喝醉酒的). 

The next morning he was drunk and he went to Judge Thatcher's house. He tried in every way to get my $ 6, 000 but Judge didn't give it to him. Judge Thatcher wasn't afraid of my father and that made me happy.
