A friend advises me to say no more often, so I can fix my eyes on what matters most. Personally, I've used his advice to great advantage. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I've noticed a few areas where people hesitate (犹豫) to say yes. Here's what I suggest you say YES to:

Say yes to challenge (挑战). 

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Why add any more challenge to your life than you already have? Although there are a few challenges you might have good reasons to say no to, say yes to the challenges that stretch and grow you. My dad has wisely pointed out that I may do best when in a challenging situation. Challenge can bring out the best in you.

It's true that too much fun can be frivolous (无聊的). However, in some cases, it is also easy to get so focused on our work that we forget to enjoy it and have fun. Sometimes you can have fun, but you can make the situation fun by the attitude and energy you bring to it. 

Say yes to opportunity (机会). 

Put yourself in the place full of opportunities. Sometimes opportunity finds you, but more often you have to search for it. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Communicate with people who are making things happen. And when you do find opportunity, don't pass it by because of laziness. 

A. Say yes to fun.

B. Saying no is a skill but so is saying yes.

C. Join groups that challenge and encourage you.

D. It's easy to think you're not able to deal with it.

E. Improving relationships is always something good to say yes to.

A study says 2 you can draw a picture of something to memorize a word better. Some Canadian scientists did 3 study. They first gave a group of students some words such as "apple" or "balloon". Then they 4 their students 40 seconds to memorize them. The students 5 write their words again and again. They could also draw pictures of the words.

When the time was up, the scientists asked the students to sing a song 6 . After that, they gave the students 60 seconds. The students had to write down as many words as they could remember. Guess what? Those who drew pictures did a much 7 job than those who wrote them. 8 amazing study it is!

Shashiyu was once a poor village in Hebei Province, but now it has changed into a rich and livable place. 

In the 1940s, villagers in Shashiyu had little food and few clothes, but they had a strong wish for a better life. The Party secretary of Shashiyu encouraged his villagers to do their best to pull themselves out of this poor living condition. "In the ancient Chinese story, Yu Gong could move mountains with his strong will and hard work, why can't we? Nobody was born to be poor. " Hearing his words, the villagers decided to make a difference. 

Led by the Communist Party of China, the villagers carried water and soil to their village from faraway places to improve their land. From 1966 to1971, they reclaimed(开垦) lots of land and greatly improved their lives. 

However, the village faced a new problem 20 years later as the environment became heavily polluted by chemical plants and mine refineries(精炼厂) built in 1990s. The polluting factories were shut down in 2004, and villagers started grape planting, which soon became a main industry in Shashiyu. 

In 2009, the city- level government invested(投资) over 1 million yuan to change the village's exhibition hall into a museum in memory of development efforts made by earlier generations. 

After 10 years, the village was called"National Forest Village". 

The Party secretary said that the village has started a yearly tourism festival since 2015 to attract travellers to pick grapes. "The grapes could be sold at a better price once Shashiyu becomes famous through this festival. Our villagers can then live a even better life, " he said. 

Making a good job choice is almost as good as choosing a good life. So, choosing a job is one of the most important decisions to make in life. For my job, there are three important things that I will consider. 

The first one is that I must work in an area I like, and I think it is the most important to me. Someone once said, "If you find a job that you enjoy, then you won't have to work another day. "I would like to become more creative through my work. I would also like to be the most valuable member there. All this is possible only if I like what I do. 

The second one is that the area of my work must lead me to solve some new and hard problems. I would like to stay in the same area for a long time. In order for this to happen, the work must provide enough problems. More than just working to live, I enjoy making a difference and trying my best to make progress. I would also like to be well remunerated for my hard work, so I can lead a comfortable life with this hard-won money. Then I can provide the best for my family. 

The third important thing is that I would like to work in an area that would help other people. The work in my mind is in fields such as the army(陆军部队), training or management. In such areas, I can help to develop the abilities of others and bring out the best. It would be a most satisfying job to help young people to become the best that they can. When I become old, I would like to look back with a great sense of satisfaction that thousands of people have become better people through my work. 

I accept the idea that no one should make a choice of a job suddenly and quickly. He or she should decide what he or she wants to be in the long run. Then, he or she should decide how he or she works towards it. It's important to study the proper courses, read the books and speak to knowledgeable people in that field before making a job choice. A good choice will most probably lead to a better life.
