I have a dress. It's old and broken(坏的). I'd like a new one. Today is a fine day. So I go to the clothes shop with my mother. We see many nice dresses and skirts. I want to buy a red dress. But it is ninety-nine yuan. It is too expensive (昂贵的)! So I choose (选择) a blue one. It's sixty­eight yuan and it fits (适合) me very well. My mother buys it for me. Then we go home by taxi together.

In our small town, we have special helpers who keep us safe when things go wrong. Police officers wear blue and drive police cars to watch over the town. If there's a problem, they come quickly to help.

One day, heavy rain caused a big flood. People called the helpers, and police officers came fast in their cars. They helped people and made sure everyone was okay. A firefighter in a big red fire truck came too, working with the police to keep everyone safe.

In another part of town, an ambulance with bright lights rushed to help. Inside was a paramedic, ready to help people who were hurt. These helpers worked together like a team of superheroes during the flood, keeping our town safe.

Mid-Autumn Festival is an important(重要的) festival in    China. It is on August 15th of the lunar calendar(农历).

In China, Mid-Autumn Festival has a history of more than 3,000 years. So it's special for Chinese people. It is time for families to get together. And the moon on this day is very big and  beautiful.

What will people do on Mid-Autumn Festival? People often watch the moon, eat mooncakes and also have a big dinner together on the evening of Mid-Autumn Festival. They also send mooncakes to their friends.

Many countries also like Mid-Autumn Festival. They eat mooncakes and read some poems about it.

不同的工作体验

Daniel is 26 years old. He wants to learn about his country and experience(体验) different obs. So he travels around the USA for a year. He visits all 50 states(州) in the USA and works for a week in every state. He travels by car from job to job. He gets money from these jobs.

Daniel thinks some jobs are not easy. In week 7, he works as a farmer on a farm. The days are long. He gets really dirty. In week 38, he is a cook in a fish restaurant. That is really hard! He often has no time to drink water.

Other jobs are fun. He works as a postman in a post office and as a fisherman at sea. He is a  football coach in a gym. At a shop in Alaska, he is a photographer(摄影师). "That's great. Alaska is a very beautiful place,"says Daniel.

Do you know this teacher? She is Deng Xiaolan. She is a music teacher. She is old. She is very kind and friendly to her students. She taught ( 教 ) the children to sing in Malan. The children sang together in the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. The children always remember(记得) her.
