Michelle, a famous lady, has found that more than 25% students are too fat in her country. It is a very serious problem. So she starts a Health Program to deal with it. The Health Program is to reduce the number of fat students today and in the future.

The program will get families, schools, newspapers, magazines and TVs to join together and deal with the students'obesity so that students will be at a healthier weight.

The program includes: Food stores should sell healthier foods; schools should arrange(安排) healthier meals without too much fat and more gym classes.

The lady is trying to fight the students' obesity all over the country because it can cause illnesses and high food cost. She wants the students to eat right, exercise more and control their weight. She also wants the students to understand it is important to have less sweet food and drink water, milk and fresh juices, but not to choose cokes. At the same time, she has also set a good example by planting a vegetable garden. She hopes that the garden will encourage more people to plant one, too.

The Health Program is really meaningful to the students today and in the future. As she says, "We can't always build the future for the young, but we can build the young for the future."

Perhaps you've already watched or heard about Readers, a TV show that has recently become popular on CCTV, which is hosted by Dong Qing. It invites different people to read aloud on the stage and tell their moving stories. They can read everything, like poems, books, letters and so on.

Many people are fans of the show and fall in love with reading aloud at home. Now the show gives people special reading pavilions（亭子） to read in some big cities of China, but every pavilion is so small that only one person can come into it each time. Everyone can read what they like for three minutes in the pavilion. Later the show will pick out some of the readers and invite them to read on TV.

Thanks to the wonderful TV show on CCTV, the young are becoming more and more interested in Chinese traditional culture.

 The 16- year- old girl Xu Zhuoyuan from Changsha, Hunan Province, reached the top of Mount Qomolangma on May 15th, 2023. She became the youngest Chinese woman climber to do so.

 The girl's interest in climbing is influenced by her father Xu Jianglei. He was the first man from Hunan Province to reach the top of Mount Qomolangma.

 As a first- year high school student, Xu Zhuoyuan has already had a lot of experience in climbing. She has climbed five mountains, all above 5,000 meters, across China at a young age. She started her dream of reaching the top of Mount Qomolangma at the age of 12 and finally succeeded after years of hard work. To realize her dream, she had continuous training. Last year, she successfully reached the top of Muztagata, a 7,546- meter peak in Xinjiang.

 Being a high school student, she tries her best to do well in both study and mountain climbing. Usually she climbs during her summer and winter vacation. She hopes to continue climbing after she finishes her university studies. She wants to climb to the highest peak in each of the seven continents(大陆). She also wants to be able to reach the North Pole and South Pole one day.

"BANG!" the door caused a reverberation (回响). It was just standing there, with Dad standing on one side, and I on the other side. 

We were both in great anger. "Jack! Never set foot in this house again!" shouted Dad. With tears in my eyes, I rushed out of the flat and ran along the street. 

The street lights were shining, causing my feeling of sadness. I walked about, knowing nowhere to go. 

A young father who held a child in his arms walked past me. I felt as if I saw my childhood from another space: happy and carefree(无忧无虑的). 

But now… I don't know whether it is because I have grown up or because Dad is getting older. We are just like two persons coming from two different worlds. It feels like there is an iron(铁) door between us that can never be opened. I walked in the streets with a heavy heart. I walked on, and there were fewer and fewer people in the streets. When I finally reached the apartment block in which I lived, I saw that the light was still on. 

I thought to myself, "Is Dad waiting for me, or is he still angry with me?"

In fact, it was nothing. Perhaps, Dad was throwing away some of his old stamps. Perhaps he thought they were useless. I never had the courage to tell him that I liked collecting stamps. 

All the lights were off except Dad's. 

Dad was always like this. Maybe he didn't know how to express himself. After shouting at me, he never showed any moments of regret. However, after an argument he has the habit of putting my arms underneath the quilt (被子) while I am sleeping. He has been a leader for so long that telling everyone else what to do has become his second nature. 

The light was still on. "Am I wrong?" With the key in hand, I was as nervous as I had ever been. At last, I decided to open the door. As soon as I opened the door, tears ran down my cheeks. I suddenly realised that the iron door that I had imagined between us did not exist at all. Love — it is second to none.
