Hi, everybody! I'm John. I'm going to the space station with my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. we will leave the earth on 4th {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. We are going there {#blank#}3{#/blank#}spaceship. It'll only take us {#blank#}4{#/blank#}hours. We will stay there for two days. On the first day, I plan to visit the space station. And on the second day, l will go to the Space Room. lt's a good place to see the{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I'm sure it will be a great trip. 

To My Best Friend

On a sunny morning, I am listening to the music. The soft music reminds me of my best friend, Sarah. There are many things I want to say to her.

Thank you for being there for me throughout all of the seasons of my life — the ups and downs, the beautiful and the ugly. You have offered me a shoulder to cry on whenever life has become hard. You have helped me in ways I didn't even know.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Whenever I have doubts about myself, you remind me of who I am and why I should be proud to have grown into the person I am. And thank you for always being honest with me. Whenever I make a stupid mistake, you always bring me around to face reality.

Miguel finally sees Dad. He's just back from a working trip. "How's your chess game, Miguel?"

"Mrs. Lambert says I'm the best chess player in the school! She says you teach me well."

"We'll play after dinner," Dad says.

At night, Miguel wants to help Dad clean out his suitcase (手提箱). "Wait, Miguel. I'll take my next trip next morning." "Oh, Dad!" Miguel cries. "But you just got here!" Miguel eyes the suitcase. When he was little, he got into the suitcase, thinking Dad could take him to work as well. Sometimes Dad traveled really far and it was day there when it was night for Miguel. They couldn't even talk by phone.

"I'll miss you," Dad says. He then pets a box from his suitcase and hands it to Miguel.

Miguel opens it. A beautiful chess set!

"Thank you, Dad!" Miguel cries. "It's so nice!"

It's an exciting game of chess. When Miguel's bedtime comes, it's still not over. "Keep it. We'll continue the game when we meet again, OK?" says Dad. 

Miguel carefully takes the chessboard to his bedroom. He looks at it, wishing the game could continue.

"Oh, that'll be a great idea!"

The next morning, when Miguel wakes up, Dad's gone. After studying the chess board for a minute, Miguel calls Dad and leaves a message: "Dad, it's me…"

John and Robert Taylor are brothers. They are always close to each other. They just {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(完成) the school bike {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(比赛). Though(即使) they didn't win, they smiled happily. To John and Robert, winning is not the most important thing.

One day, when I was doing the dishes, my mom walked up to me and said, "I'm sorry, dear. Dinner is 1 again. I'm afraid (恐怕) we will have it in 20 more minutes. "

I was surprised. "No, it was great. I loved it. "

"Really?" she said. "You always ate 2 , saying nothing, so I thought you disliked it. " "No, I really enjoyed it. You're the best cook. "I said. 

"Then you should 3 me about that. " she said. "When someone does something nice for you, you should thank him. If you don't, he might think you are not 4 and stop doing those nice things. "

 From then on, I 5 said "thank you" to others. It soon became a habit and something magic(神奇的)6 happening. In my first year of high school, during the final week, I came home and 7 some snacks (点心) on the table. "Thanks, Mom. "I said. "They aren't from me. " Mom said. "They're from your bus driver. " Guess what? He has driven that bus for years. I was the first per- son to ever thank him as we 8 . The two words made such a big 9 that he went out of his way and gave me the present. 

That's the power of appreciation (感激 ). When you 10 it, all is right in the world. Anytime taking two seconds to say "thank you" is the best. 

On a recent Saturday morning, an excited crowd gathered together on San Francisco's waterfront.  They were watching in amazement as bubble (气泡) artist Kurth Reis slowly drew a large bubble from his bucket (桶) and released it into the air.  Several minutes later, the bubble suddenly popped.  A little girl in the crowd jumped and clapped.  She turned to Reis, eager for another show.  The "bubble man" had succeeded once again in bringing a little bit of joy to others.  

The 49-year-old traveled a rocky path to his new "job".  In 2018, Reis, then a deliveryman, had a serious motorcycle accident.  The man had several operations.  Each time he woke up after an operation, he felt like he had been "reborn".  Following 88 days in the hospital, he felt ready to start a new life.  In 2020, COVID-19 fled his city with sorrow.  Reis thought about what he could do to help make people feel happy again.  He turned to soap and learned to make large bubbles.  

Last year, Reis began performing his art form in parks across San Francisco.  People started to call him the "bubble man".  Some of them give him tips, but the man says he doesn't care about the money.  Reis feels that his art is useful in more important ways.  Not long ago, a woman spoke to him after watching one of his performances.  She told him that she had been very sad ever since her father's death.  Seeing his "joyful" bubbles, however, made her feel much better.  

 "I can't save the world.  I'm not trying to," Reis says.  "But by making some bubbles, I can put a smile on somebody's face. "
