How do you often get to school today? A recent survey by Weyview School Newspaper shows that Wayview students get to school by taking the bus, driving, riding a bike, walking and riding a scooter(滑板车). 

The survey shows that 25% of Wayview students take the bus to school. Fourth grade student Wesley Gibson said, "The bus is the best way to get to school. I can relax and talk with my friends while the bus driver does all the work." 25% of Wayview students get to school by car. Their parents drive them to school every day. 

The other 50% of Wayview students ride their bikes, walk, or ride scooters. 20% of Wayview students walk to school each day. Fifth grade student Alexis Wang is one of them. She said, "Walking to school is better because you do more sports."20% of Wayview students ride their bikes. Chris Madsen said, "he likes riding his bike because it's faster than walking."

The last group of Wayview students gets to school by riding scooters. More people ride scooters to school now. Last year, only 5% of the students rode scooters and this year it's 10%. Ellas Peterson said," Riding a scooter is the most fun way to get to school. It's cool. " But many students get hurt when riding scooters. Mr Smith, the headmaster of the school, advises that____. 

As you can see, Wayview students find all kinds of ways to get to school. It doesn't really matter how you get here if you get here on time. 

Once, there were two hard-working children, Che Yin and Sun Kang. They loved reading, but their families were poor and didn't have enough money to buy lamp oil (灯油) for the children to study at night. How did they get over the difficulty? Here are their stories.

Che Yin's story began on a hot summer night. He saw fireflies (萤火虫) flying and an idea came into his mind. He caught some fireflies, put them in a bag and hung it up as a lamp. He spent all of his summer nights reading like this.

The other story happened in winter. Sun Kang woke up on a cold night. He saw the moon shine so brightly (明亮地) on the snow and it made the night brighter. "I can read with it!" he thought. So he took his books outside and read, even though it was very cold. 

Later, Che Yin and Sun Kang became successful. Their stories were turned into Chinese words "nangying yingxue". Difficulties cannot stop young minds from learning. If there is a will, there is always light on the road to knowledge (知识).

②Let's go and see Bellandur Lake in the city of Bengaluru in India. Bengaluru is the center for many heavy industries. Electrical and electronic goods, computer parts and parts for planes and space rockets are produced there. Much of the waste from these and a large amount of the wastewater from local people run into the lake.

③These harmful mixed things have led the lake to become covered with a thick white foam(泡沫) that looks like snow when seen from far away. When the level of the water rises, the foam does too and covers nearby areas, even roads. When a fire breaks out on the lake, it is both frightening and dangerous. People who live or work near the lake also get seriously il l because of the pollution.

④The fire has drawn a great deal of attention recently, but burning lakes are nothing new. Pollution mainly happens in developing countries like India today. In the past, it mainly took place in Europe and America. Cuyahoga River, a river in America, had caught fire at least 13 times. The fire that caused the most attention was in 1969 when oil- covered areas on the river were set on fire by sparks(火花) from a passing train. The fire reached a height of over five floors and burned for about half an hour. By that time, people in America were more aware of its dangers and wanted to change.

⑤As a result, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was founded in 1970 and the Clean Water Act (1972) was put into use. This Act required all rivers throughout America be clean enough to safely allow swimmers and fish to pass through by 1983. Due to these efforts, the Cuyahoga River has never had another fire and over 60 different species of fish live in the river.

⑥If history is a guide, will it be possible for people in India to bring an end to the pollution by changing the laws in their country, too? Like many nations, it's necessary to raise awareness of environmental protection among the general public. All of us must act!

Damien Baxter is very happy. He has fourteen brothers and sisters! They never fight(打架) with each other.

The Baxter family live in a house in Western Australia. Their house has seven bedrooms and many beds. It is a big house with many children in it.

The Baxter family are very busy. There's lots of work to do in the house. When a child is eight years old, he or she starts to help with the housework. In the Baxter family, children are happy to help parents with the housework. But Damien doesn't have work to do, because he is only three years old.

The family doesn't have a car. But Damien's dad has a bus. It has eighteen seats. Damien's dad drives his children to school or work.

①Recently, a short video series named Escape (逃离) from the British Museum came out on Bilibili and became a big hit in Chinese network. The video tells the story of how a Chinese relic escapes from the British Museum and finds its way back to China. A girl acts the role of an ancient Chinese jade (玉石) teapot. The teapot came alive and tried to find a way home. Later, she happened to meet a reporter on the street. The reporter's black eyes and yellow skin made her feel warm. With the help of this reporter, she finally went back to China. After returning home, the teapot quickly visited local museums and read "letters" written by other relics that are still in the British Museum.

②"My family, I have been lost for a long time," and "One day, I will finally be back." are lines (台词) in those letters. They moved the viewers deeply.

③The series were made by two Chinese young vloggers. They got this idea at the beginning of this year from a suggestion online. It advised creating a cartoon about relics coming to life and returning for Chinese New Year.

④They turned this idea into a video and stayed in the U.K. for three months, looking for information and making it. They said they are so glad that people are caring more about those Chinese cultural relics in the British Museum. That is also what they really want to do—making the young people care more about Chinese culture and history.

⑤In fact, some other countries also share the same calls for the return of their relics. Many African and Asian countries questioned about the rights for the British Museum to hold their relics as well. ____
