Have you ever thought how lonely your pet dog will be when you leave home for school or work? Don't worry! A teenager has created a helpful robot for you. 

Cassidy Matwiyoff, a student in San Diego, California, created Bowwow. It is a robot and it helps to pet(抚摸) dogs when their owners are not at home. " The robot starts to work by dropping the food. The dog walks over to eat the food. During this process, Bowwow is petting the dog. " Natwiyoff says. 

The girl got the idea after watching ABC's Shark Tank. She spent four years creating a prototype (雏形) of Bowwow with the help of her mother. After that, she went to an Engineering and Computing Capstone Design program in Chico State. She was allowed to introduce her invention to a group of engineers and teachers in the hope of getting it produced. 

One of them disapproved of the idea. " My dog would rip(撕) this to pieces, " he said. This lit(点燃) a fire within Matwiyoff. She spent the next four months doing research and testing Bowwow for dogs of different sizes and ages. 

Matwiyoff hopes to catch an investor's(投资者的) eye soon and bring her invention to the market. " One day, investors will be interested in my product and want to invest it. " she said. 

Jack is a twenty-year-old young man. Two years ago, when he finished high school, he found a job in a shop. Usually he works until ten o'clock in the evening. He is very tired when he gets home. After a quick supper he goes to bed and soon falls asleep. His grandma who lives downstairs is satisfied with him.

One day, on his way home, he met Mary. They were both happy. He invited the girl to his house. She agreed happily. He bought some fruit and drinks for her. And they talked about their school, teachers, classmates and their future. They talked for a long time.

"Have a look at your watch, please," said the girl. "What time is it now?"

"Sorry, something is wrong with my watch," said Jack. "Where's yours?"

"I left it at home."

Jack thought for a moment and found a way. He began to stamp his foot on the floor. "Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The sound woke his grandma up. The old woman shouted downstairs, "It's twelve o'clock in the night, Jack. Why are you still jumping upstairs?"

 Do you believe in the power of human spirit? Samantha Kinghom is 1 athlete from Scotland now. But her life has never been easy. In the winter of 2010, a large piece of ice 2 from the top of her house and hit her. Poor Samantha lost the ability to walk3 the age of 14.

 Samantha spent six months in hospital. She felt quite sad at first, but soon learnt how4 a wheelchair(轮椅) and get around without using her legs. As Samantha became stronger, doctors discovered 5 she could move in the wheelchair very fast! Later, she got a call from the national centre for special sports. Samantha 6 by the working personnel(工作人员) if she wanted to try wheelchair sports there.

 Samantha agreed and started training six7 a week. Her coach found she was truly talented in wheelchair sports. The more she trained, the 8 she became. Soon her first win came at a 10-kilometre wheelchair race in September, 2012. In the past few years, Samantha has kept winning in many races and she has already become a national hero.

 Many people asked why Samantha chose this job after she became disabled. She said,"I want to show that people should always go for 9 dreams. Difficulties like being in a wheelchair shouldn't stop that. Also, I want to know how much I can achieve if I try my best. And 10 , I have succeed in many ways."

Once, I was really shy. When I was 12, my teacher told us to record (录音) ourselves 1 our families. When I listened back, I heard my voice was just like a little kid's. That made me very shy and I 2 took part in activities from then on. 

Years later, I became a teacher. On the first day, my hands could not help but sweat (出汗). My arms was trying to stop me from 3 the door. Although I was a little nervous (紧张的), I opened the 4 slowly. Suddenly, all the students laughed. Then I felt it was a bad 5 to be a teacher. They did not seem to mind me at all. 6 class, a little girl walked up to me and asked, "Could you help me read this? I like your voice!" she said. I didn't feel shy any more and my body felt as 7 as a bird. Perhaps this was not such a bad idea after all. 

Besides, there was one more thing that surprised me. I 8 why the classroom was so clean every day—before leaving, the students would clean the classroom. Actually 9 did really well. Looking back at it now, I would say these students gave me 10 experience of my life. 

In the future, I want to create a space for shy people like me to shine. 

Rick, a school boy, had a love for playing video games. Every day, his 1 reminded him to take some exercise instead of playing video games. However, he didn't always 2 .

had weakened. After asking about his habit of using eyes, the doctor advised Rick to take action to protect his eyes.

From that day on, Rick decided to 9 playing video games and take some exercise every day. Later Rick fell in love with sports and 10 his school soccer team. Now he has become stronger and healthier. His eyesight has also got better.
