National (国家的) parks give a safe home to plants and animals. They help keep the air and water clean. They also give us the best trips. Today, there are nearly 7,000 national parks around the world. A famous magazine showed us 12 of the most beautiful ones in the world. They will surprise you with their amazing natural wonders and

colourful plants and animals. 

The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. It is famous for its size and depth. It is 446 kilometres long, up to 29 kilometres wide and 1. 83 kilometres deep. Every year, about 5 million people visit the Grand Canyon National Park of US. When taking a trip in the south of the park, visitors can see the park's full views. In the north of the park, visitors can enjoy beautiful wild flowers. 

If you love animals, you'll like the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The "Big Five" live there. They are the African lion, African elephant, African leopard, black rhinocero and African buffalo. The name "Big Five" comes from the five animals that are the hardest to catch. Now people most want to see them in the wild. If you visit the park, you should never miss the migration( 迁徙)of over1. 5 million wildebeests( 角马) every year. This is the most famous site of the park. 

It is a long time since the story happened to me. And it is an unforgettable 1 for me. On a cold winter afternoon, I was walking home from a supermarket. My shopping bags were so 2 that I decided to stop to have a rest. Then I noticed a man walking out of a restaurant in front of me. He was holding a paper bag in his hand. He walked to a nearby dustbin (垃圾桶) and started looking 3 it.

Seeing this, I suddenly felt 4 . What a poor man he was! I knew the man would take all he could get from the dustbin, so I went up to him and gave him some 5 . The man, with wrinkles (皱纹) on his face, looked up in surprise and took what I gave him.

A big smile appeared on his face. Then he said, "Wow! First someone gave me this sandwich, then this drink, and now you gave me some delicious fruit. This is my little daughter's lucky day. I am sure 6 will be very happy. Thank you, boy!" Then he went away, singing a song 7 .

Just then, I understood what the saying "Giving is getting" really meant. Everyone in the world needs help, everyone will offer help and everyone will be 8 by others. Giving sometimes doesn't 9 much, but it means a lot to the people who you help. The man's 10 face at that moment comes into my mind every time when I help others. Then I can feel the bright happiness from the bottom of my heart.

There are 706 billion LEGO bricks （积木）on the earth, 7 LEGO sets are sold in every second, and more than 400 million people have played with Lego bricks. LEGO has already been a successful company in the world. Actually, there are many ups and downs along with its development. 

Start from woods

The LEGO company was set up in 1934. The name comes from the Swedish "leg godt", meaning "to play well". Ole Kirk Kristiansen, the founder of LEGO, was a master carpenter （木匠大师）, so it's not surprising that the first LEGO toys were made of wood. Theywere simple, such as wooden ducks. In 1942, the factory that made wooden LEGO toys was burned to the ground, which made Ole realize the disadvantages of working with wood. 

Success—brick by brick

Soon Ole found out that plastic is a good material to make toys. LEGO started making self-locking bricks in 1949. But it wasn't until 1958, when the locking design was much improved, that sales were rising. Because of its quality and the endless creativity that it lets children have, LEGO achieved a huge success. 

Overcome difficulties

In 2000, children began to spend more time playing video games. By 2003, LEGO's sales were down by 30%, and LEGO nearly went broke. The turning point appeared in 2004 when LEGO focused again on its bricks. And it also worked with films and televisions, like Star Wars. The Internet was used to build a LEGO group where fans show their love to LEGO collections. In 2015, it again became a name known by the world. 

I have got two friends. They're from different schools. jerry is a boy from the UK. His school is very big. The students sit around tables in class. Sometimes he joins clubs and makes some new friends from different classes. School starts at 9 o'clock and finishes at 3 o'clock. He often plays football with his classmates after school. Lingling is a Chinese girl. Her school is beautiful and new. There are some beautiful flowers and tall trees there. There is a big library in her school. She often reads books there. School starts at 8 o'clock and finishes at 4 o'clock. She plays the guitar with her friends at break time sometimes. It's very cool.
