As 16﹣year﹣old Torriell Norwood drove through Florida，last February，the laughter and chatter from the four teenage girls inside her car quickly gave way to screams.As they came near to a crossing，sending their car sailing into the yard of a nearby home，coming to a stop only when it hit a tree.

As smoke rose from the car，a bystander shouted，"It's about to blow up!Get out."Shaken but OK， ★ .Along with two of her friends，who'd also managed to free themselves，she ran for her life.But halfway down the street，Simmons，wasn't with them.Norwood ran back and found Simmons senseless in the back seat.She threw open the back door and pulled her friend out.She dragged Simmons a few feet to safety and laid her on the ground.After checking her pulse and found there was no sign of life（心肺复苏术）.

Had the accident happened a few weeks earlier，she might not have known what to do.But just the day before，Norwood，had earned her CPR certificate by learning on her own.Kneeling on the lawn and looking down at her dying friend，Norwood knew she had precious little time to practice what she'd learned.

She started pumping Simmons's chest with her interlocked fingers and breathing into her friend's mouth in the hope of filling her lungs with the kiss of life.After quite a while，Simmons began coughing and taking quick deep breaths for air.The CPR had worked!Soon，the ambulance arrived and rushed Simmons to the hospital.And then she heard how her best friend had saved her life."I am not shocked，"She will always help any way she can."

④The Zhuang people like singing even more than talking. On the third day of the third Chinese lunar(阴历的) month, they hold a big singing festival. It is thrilling and wonderful. Men and women singers sing in pairs. The winners are the "king"and "queen"of singing. 

⑤The Miao people have a special festival, Manghao Festival. It's in the first Chinese lunar month every year. The Miao people regard Manghao as a hero who helped to protect their homes. At the festival, young men dress up like Manghao and touch others to send good wishes. 

Just like in other countries, in China, there are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. 

Spring is the season I like best! In spring the weather starts to get 1 . The sun shines 2 . The grass is green and the flowers are colorful. 3 is new just like a baby. We usually go to the parks with our friends to 4 kites and have a picnic.

Are these records boring? Of course not. It is a wonderful book and it has world records for everyday things. For example, the largest picnic blanket(野餐毯) is 1, 760 square meters. The heaviest lemon is 5, 265 kilograms. The smallest working dog is about 3 pounds, and it is only a little heavier than twelve eggs. 

There are some funny records as well. A T-shirt was made to set a record. It's about a hundred times bigger than an usual T-shirt and it took almost 11, 000 hours to make it by hand. The most people for watching a basketball game is 3, 589 million(百万) for NBA in 1998.

Alice walks into a small room. First she sees a small blue table. Then she sees a yellow key under it. She gets the yellow key but it doesn't open any of the doors.

She moves a curtain (窗帘) on one of the walls and finds another door, a red one. She puts the key in the lock. Oh! It's right. Alice opens the door and looks through it. Then she sees a big garden with some flowers in it.

"Oh, how beautiful!" Alice says, "I want to go into the garden, but I'm too big. I can't get through the door."

She walks back to the small blue table. There is a cup on it now. Next to the cup, there is a purple card.

She reads the words on the card, "Drink me, and then you can go through the door." At that time, the phone rings. She finds it's only a dream(梦).
