Lake Street School Big Day Out!

Dear Parents,

    We are happy to have our summer trip to the Children Movie Museum and the Sports Park on Thursday, July 11th (Grade Seven) and Friday, July 12th (Grade Eight). Students can learn lots of very interesting things about the cinema and how movies are made. They will also learn about many sports and their rules.

Meeting Place: at the school gate

Arriving Time: by 5:00 pm

    We have this trip for the students to learn outside the classroom and also have a good time with friends. Students need to take a pen and a notebook with them because they have to take notes about what they see. They also need to wear their school uniforms and sports shoes. Please tell them to follow the rules in the museum and the park.

    We will be eating lunch at the dining hall of the park. The cost of the trip is 40 yuan. It is for the bus ride and the lunch.

    If your child cannot come, please tell your head teacher by July 8th in your class teacher-parent WeChat group.

In old times，the Lantern Festival was also romantic. At that time，young girls were not allowed to go out very often except during certain festivals. Therefore，watching lanterns gave young people a chance to meet each other. A line from Xin Qiji，a poet during the Song Dynasty shows this, "I searched for her in thousands，hundreds of ways. Suddenly I turned，and there she was in the receding light. "
