It was a cold winter morning. My 12-year-old granddaughter, Jayne, sent me messages on the phone every hour during her six-hour drive to our house.

"Grandma, can you put some snow in the fridge (冰箱)? That way, I can feel snow when I get there," she wrote. Jayne lives in the south of Georgia, the US with her parents, so she never saw snow before.

"Yes, I will," I wrote. "There is still some snow on the ground in the yard." And I sent her a few photos of it. However, the weather report brought me bad news. It said the weather would be sunny at noon. This made me feel concerned.

In the afternoon, they finally arrived. Jayne got out of the car first. She ran into the yard and put her hands in the snow. She looked so excited. It was great that the sun didn't come out that day.

"Grandma, the weather is so cold, but I enjoy playing with snow," Jayne said. Then she started to build a snowman. She made two large snowballs first. They were the head and the body. It looked nice. Jayne kept playing outside until her hands got wet and cold. Watching Jayne playing in the snow made me feel warm and thankful.

I still remember the lovely cold day. Small things in our lives can also make us happy.

China's space industry comes a long way these years.  As a Chinese citizen, I am very proud of this.  China makes great progress (进步) in exploring space, satellite technology, and manned missions (载人任务).  Now China becomes an important player in the space field. 

One of the most important achievements of China's space programme is the landing of the Chang'e-4.  It landed on the far side of the Moon.  This is a great moment for China and the world.  The mission has a spaceship.  It can explore the Moon's surface and sent back a lot of useful and important information and photos.  They help scientists better understand the Moon. 

China has finished a number of manned missions, including the Shenzhou spaceship.  It carries Chinese astronauts into space.  These missions help to develop China's space technology.  And they encourage young people to be scientists and engineers in the future. 

China develops a satellite programme too.  China has sent up a number of satellites for communication and navigation (导航).  People use these satellites in many ways.  We look forward to seeing the future of China's space programme. 

My son is Tommy. He is1 8-year-old boy. He likes playing soccer very 2 . Now, he is playing on the football field. Five minutes before the game stops, the score is 2:1. My3 class will win soon. Everyone is excited. Time goes quickly, and there 4 little time to go. Just then, the ball comes to Mike, a classmate of Tommy's. Mike gets the ball and says, "Let me 5 ." To everyone's surprise, the ball goes6 the wrong goal (球门). The game is over with a score of 2:2. But Mike shouts, "I score! Everybody wins!"7 face is full of joy. He is very8 .

Mike has Down's Syndrome (唐氏综合征) and he doesn't know it's a wrong goal. He9 getting the ball into any goal. He just likes it. I am glad to see my son smile to Mike10 say to him, "Good job, Mike!"

That night, when my daughter asks who wins the game, my son smiles and answers, "Everybody wins!"

I live with my parents, my twin brothers, my little sister and my good friend Polly. What do we like to do in the evening? I often do my homework with my brothers after I get home. My mother often cooks dinner, and my father often tells stories to my little sister. What about my pet cat Polly? Oh, she likes walking in the park. We often have dinner at six o'clock.
