Nowadays, "toilet revolution" is a thing in China.China isinvesting seven billion yuan in the project.The money is spent building or upgrading(改进) toilets in 30,000villages.

Experts have agreed that a "toilet revolution" is very important.Bettertoilets mean healthier lives and better living standards.Better toilets can alsohelp encourage tourism and improve the economy.

"Toilet revolution" was started in 2015.Chinese president Xi Jinpingthen called for improvement to toilets across China.The government has investedmore than 1.6 billion yuan in the project since then.Nearly 70,000 toilets havebeen built or upgraded.By the end of 2017, 45 percent of rural residents (居民) had been usingstandard toilets.In 2013, that number was only 36 percent.

In cities popular with tourists, more expensive toilets have been built.Thesetoilets have ATMs, Wi­Fi and recharging (充电) stations for mobile phones.Some toilets, meanwhile, havebeen expanded (扩大). Now, they have special cubicles (隔间) for the disabled and adults with young children.

China, in fact, is not alone in focusing on toilets.According to Bill Gates'foundation, forty percent of the world's population doesn't have flush toilets.UNICEF(联合国儿童基金会) says atleast 1.2 million young children die of diarrhea each year.Contact with human wasteis the main cause.Gates says toilets of the future will be able to save 800 livesevery day.

Last year, 61 companies in the UK took part in the world's largest test of a four-day work week. The results were so positive that 92% of the companies were planning to keep the new schedule. worried that they would get less work for their money, or that it could cause other problems. But the results of last year's experiment suggested the move might be good for both businesses and workers.

Last June, 61 UK companies agreed to try giving their workers a four-day work week. In return, they asked their workers to try to do as much in four days as they usually did in five days.

Many different kinds of businesses took part, including online stores, computer technology companies, advertising companies, and even a fish restaurant. Some companies were small, while others had around 1,000 workers

The companies found different ways of giving workers one more day off. Most companies simply gave workers Fridays off., Others chose Mondays, or had different workers take different days off. The experiment ran for six months, and turned out to be good for most businesses.

The number of days when workers were out sick dropped by 65%. On average,57% fewer people quit their jobs during the four-day work week trial. What's more, the companies made more money--about 1.4% on average.

How did workers do more in less time? Some companies cut meetings, or made sure they were shorter.0thers used technology to help workers get more work done quickly. Some companies created a "focus tie" so workers could work on just one thing without being disturbed.

In general, workers said the four-day work week made them feel less tired. About 71% said they felt less "burnt out‘' with their new work hours, and 39% said they felt less stressed. Most of the workers were more satisfied with the time they spent working.

In Los Angeles, US, there is a special school    named Sotomayor Arts and Sciences Magnet. There students don't just learn about farming. They become farmers!

The school has a three-acre farm. On the farm, students take care of animals like chickens and pigs. The school also has a greenhouse(温室). Students learn to grow plants there. It's really interesting, right?
