As everyone knows，the Encyclopaedia Britannica is the oldest English—language encyclopaedia.Actually，more than 300 years before it a Chinese encyclopaedia called the Yongle Dadian or the Yongle Encyclopaedia had already been there.

In 1403，the Emperor Yongle of the Ming Dynasty asked Xie Jin to complete a collection of every subject and every known book of Chinese.One year later，Xie，finished the first version of the encyclopaedia named A Complete Work of Literature.

However，the emperor wasn't happy with it because it was completed so quickly and he thought the content wasn't enough.In 1405，he asked Yao Guangxiao to compile（编纂），196.Two years later，they completed the work and won praise from the emperor who named the encyclopaedia after his reign name.Then it took the team another year to write the final version.The Yongle Encyclopaedia was finally completed in 1408.

The Yongle Encyclopaedia contained 22，973 scrolls in 11，095 volumes，such as history，geography，art and science.It is the largest encyclopaedia ever compiled in the world.However，over the years

Recently, the problems of the canteen have given rise to a heated discussion among the students in our school, which I think should be paid great attention. 

①Foreigners like growing flowers in the garden and enjoy the nice smell in spring. However, Chinese people prefer growing vegetables and get a harvest in autumn. For Chinese, bottles, even plastic bags are perfect for growing vegetables. 

②It's said that there is a"vegetable gene (基因)" in every Chinese people. After all, they have farmed for thousands of years and gained rich experience in growing vegetables. 

③A group of parents of Chinese students once grew vegetables at Yale University in the  USA. This area used to be covered with weeds (杂草). To help change the situation, these Chinese parents worked together and finally turned weeds into vegetables. 

④Africa is such a poor place. Many hard-working and kind-hearted Chinese workers went there to help. They helped build roads as well as taught Africans how to farm. All kinds of fruits and vegetables have been grown in Africa. 

⑤The soldiers (士兵) on the islands of the South China Sea also created a vegetable garden through their own efforts. It used to be difficult for the soldiers to eat fresh vegetables on the islands. But recently, they harvested 750kg of vegetables on sandy beaches. Everyone was excited. 

⑥With the development of the science and technology in China, Chinese people have grown vegetables all over the world, from Europe to Africa, the days of planting potatoes on Mars(火星) will not be far away. 

Lili Time is a cafe in Shanghai, but it is a little bit different. Some customers do not go there to drink coffee. Instead, they want to enjoy the "special" service (服务).

In 2013, when Zhang Lili was working in her first cafe, a customer gave her a note. It read, "I'm deaf but I really love coffee. Would you give me the chance to learn how to make it?" And then this customer became the first deaf barista (咖啡师) in that cafe. And there started Zhang's story with the deaf community.

Six years later, Zhang and her husband started Lili Time. Over the past few years, it has become a place filled with love. Some other cafes also have deaf baristas, but they use QR codes (二维码) to help with ordering. Lili Time does not. People need to order their coffee by talking to its baristas, even though they speak slowly and sometimes not clearly enough. But this is Zhang's plan. She wants deaf people to talk to others and be more confident. She doesn't sell coffee by delivery service (外卖服务), either. She wants there to be communication between her customers and her baristas.

At the same time, Lili Time provides a space for people to teach others skills, such as taking photos, learning English, French, and so on—all for free. They come here every week. Now, Zhang is thinking about opening a new cafe for children in need.
