How do you feel when there is a test tomorrow? What do you usually do before a test?

There are four students, they plays all day even though(尽管) they know they will have a test the next day. The next morning, they come up with an idea.

Each student puts some dirt(土) on their faces and hands, and then they go to the teacher's office. "Dear sir, we have a flat tire(轮胎) on the way to school, we push the car back to school all the morning, so we miss the test." They says.

The teacher looks at them for some seconds and says that they can take the test after three days.

On the day of the test, the teacher puts them in four rooms. They are so happy because they have three days to study for the test. However, as they get the paper, they find there are only two questions:

1) What's your name? (1 Point)

2) Which tire is flat? (99 Points)

Their faces get red because of their lies(谎言). Now it's not hard to see how shameful they all feel.

Alex goes to buy fruits. He asks the shopkeeper*, "What's the price of bananas and apples?" The Shopkeeper answers, "Banana is 2 dollars a kilo and apples are 4 dollars a kilo. At the same time, a woman comes to the shop and also asks the same question.

The shopkeeper says, "Banana is 

0.5 dollar a kilo and apples are 1 dollar a kilo." Hearing this, Alex just can't believe what he hears. "Why are the prices for the woman different?" he thinks. The shopkeeper finds this and asks Alex to wait here.

"Thank you, God, today my children will be very happy after eating fruits."The woman pays for fruits, and murmurs* excitedly leaving the shop.

After the woman leaves, the shopkeeper looks towards Alex and says, "In the name of god, I didn't deceive* you." After stopping for a moment, he goes on, "The woman you see just now is a poor widow, who looks after four kids alone. She lives in my neighborhood. I tried to help her, but she just didn't take any kind of help from anyone."

"Then I think of this way to help her. In this way, she doesn't have to feel that someone shows pity* for her. ____"

"In fact, whenever this lady comes, more people will come to my shop. Maybe she also brings luck to me."

After hearing all of this, Alex hugs the shopkeeper. "I will also be happy after eating the fruits." he says. Then he leaves with the fruits.

As we all know,all of us need friends. In fact, we need true friends. Do you have any true friends? I think a true friend is always helpful. I don't believe it1 one thing happened to me when I was in Grade Eight.

Tom was one of my classmates and he sat next to me in the classroom. He always listened to his mother,but I didn't like listening to my mother. I didn't think it was2 for her to teach me everything. Tom knew all about that but he said3 to me.

One Saturday afternoon,Tom4 me to see a film. I liked movies very much,so I went to the cinema with him5 . The movie6 the love between a mother and a son. After watching it,I began to know the mother's great love. I felt sorry that I didn't listen to my mother7 . I decided to think8 about my mother than about myself.After I told that to him, Tom smiled and said,"It's really good for you to see such a movie. That was really an9 way for both you and me."

Just at that time, I knew Tom was my true friend and he really wanted to help me. I knew10 he invited me to see the movie in the end.

In honour of Mother's Day, Michelle shares memories of her mum, Marian Robinson. In a special speech, she reflects on what she learned about parenting from her own mother:

My mother is a woman who chooses her words carefully. She sometimes speaks slowly with a smile to make herself understood. It's a style that makes her a good partner or friend who doesn't need the limelight(公众焦点). 

As I've grown older, I've seen how her manner in conversation reflects her way of parenting. When it came to raising her kids, my mum knew that her voice was less important than allowing me to use my own, which meant she listened a lot more than told you how she thought you should behave. During my growing up, she was willing to endure(忍受) endless questions from me: Why do we have to eat eggs for breakfast? Why do people need jobs? Why are the houses bigger in their neighbourhoods? Why do we need to study? She would listen patiently to my reasons, instead of speaking angrily to me, if I had a fight with some of the neighbour kids. 

In today's world, it is easy to think that she wasn't being responsible, and that she was letting the kids rule the roost But that was not true. She and my father love their children very much, pouring a deep and long- lasting foundation(基础) of goodness and honesty, of right and wrong, into my brother and me. Even if I got bad grades at school, she never punished me seriously. Instead, she always talked about the reasons with me. What they did simply let us be ourselves. 

. . . I see now how important that kind of freedom is for all children, especially for girls. . . It's up to us, as mothers and mother figures, to give the girls in our lives the kind of support(支持) that lifts up their voices—not necessarily with our own words, but by letting them find the words themselves. 

 Twenty-four years ago, a German boy, Frank, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(扔) a special bottle off a ship. So many years later, a 13-year-old {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(加拿大的) boy, Barry Hall, found it in the sand. At that time he was d{#blank#}3{#/blank#} a hole and playing on his own on the beach. "I saw that bottle," Barry said, "and there was a message which there is an {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (地址) in it." It said, "My name is Frank, and I'm ten years old. I have a bad illness. Mr Cooper saved me and treated me so that I became much better. I have missed school for more than five weeks already. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(诚实地) speaking , I'm really worried about my subjects at school, especially chemistry. Although I'm still unable to go back to the class, I c{#blank#}6{#/blank#} studying by myself. In this way,I think I can increase the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(知识) as well.I believe everything will be fine! Dear friend, if you find this letter, please write back to me."

 In fact, at that time, Barry had a difficult time in his life as well. However, Frank's words had a great i{#blank#}8{#/blank#} on his life. Instead of giving up, he made a{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(决定) to face the difficulties and work hard in the65. f{#blank#}10{#/blank#} years.

One day, our English teacher Mr. White came into the classroom with a book in his hand. He started his lesson with a 1 , "Who can tell us what stress (压力) is like?" No one answered. Then he raised (举起) the book and asked, "How 2 is the book?"
