What's the favourite food of the minions(小黄人)? Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-nana! Bananas are one of the world's most popular fruits. But they are not only fruit. In some places, people eat them with almost every meal.

A study(研究) says that rice, corn and w heat are the world's top staple food and bananas are the fourth most important staple food in the world. More than 400,000,000 people live on them. They have lots of carbs(碳水化合物). So they can give us plenty of energy(能量). Bananas are also cheap and easy to get. There are over 1,000 kinds of bananas on Earth.

Many African people like bananas just like Chinese people like rice. In Uganda(乌干达), people cook green bananas with beans and meat. Rwandan(卢旺达的) people like fried banana chips and banana pancakes. The dishes are yummy and filling(饱腹的).
