On school days, Jack can't play computer {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and has to go to bed before nine o'clock. He must take a shower before {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to bed. He 39. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} clean the house on the weekend.

Jim has to get up at six o'clock every morning. He must do his homework {#blank#}5{#/blank#} after school. He can't watch TV {#blank#}6{#/blank#} listen to music on weekdays, either. His mother is a teacher. She is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} with Jim very much.

Sally can't {#blank#}8{#/blank#} loudly (大声地) at home. She has to listen to English before going to bed. She has to play the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} on Sundays.

Mike must run in the morning. He can't eat junk food (垃圾食品). He has to help his mom do {#blank#}10{#/blank#} housework.

On a winter afternoon, my friends and I were throwing stones onto the roof of an old lady's house. The old lady was my customer(顾客) on the newspaper route. We just wanted to see how the stones rolled off the roof's edge (边缘). I found an exactly smooth rock and threw it out, but it 1 into a small window of the old lady's house. At the sound of broken glass, we knew we were in trouble. We ran home fast. I was so 2 about getting caught that first night. However, a few days later I started to feel guilty (内疚的) for her bad luck. She 3 greeted me with a smile when I gave her the newspaper, but I was no longer able to act comfortably. I made up my mind that I would save my newspaper delivery money, and in three weeks I had seven dollars. I put the money in an envelope with a 4 explaining that I was sorry for breaking her window and hope that the seven dollars would cover the cost for repairing it. I waited until it was 5 , and put the letter I didn't sign into her yard. The next day, I 6 the old lady her newspaper. She thanked me for my paper and gave me a bag of cookies she had made herself. While eating cookies, I felt an envelope and pulled it out of the bag. After opening it. Inside were the seven dollars and a short note saying, "I'm proud of you."

Barry lives in the west African nation of Guinea (几内亚). He wanted to study at one of the best schools in Cairo, Egypt, but he didn't have money to pay for the bus or train. Then, Barry drew a map of Africa and started his trip on a second- hand mountain bike.

With only a few clothes, a flashlight(手电筒), and a small tool, the 25- year- old young man rode more than 4,000 kilometers across Africa, in the hope of getting into the school and finding a way to pay for it.

Four months later, he arrived in Cairo and got a full scholar(全额奖学金) to the school." If you have a dream, keep with it and be strong," Barry said.

Barry rode about 100 kilometers each day. He rode through(经过) Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Benin, Niger and Chad. After the long ride through those countries, his luck came in Chad. There, a kind man read about his trip online and helped him fly straight to Egypt. With his help, Barry arrived in Cairo successfully(成功地) and days later got a full scholarship to the school.

Barry wants to go back to Guinea when he finishes his studies." When I go back to my country, I would like to be a teacher. I want to tell people how to do good things," he says.

I will never forget the Art Festival in my high school when I won a big prize. All my teachers and classmates think I have a gift for {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(paint). However, when I was a pupil in primary school, I did not like art lessons because I could not draw very well. In fact, my drawings were much {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (bad) than most of my classmates

In 1921, long before the Walt Disney Company turned Pooh (维尼熊) into an international star of TV and films, Christopher Robin Milne was given a toy bear on his first birthday from his father, A. A. Milne, who bought the stuffed animal from a store. The stuffed animal was named Edward Bear. Years later, Edward was named Winnie. From the time Christopher Robin Milne was a baby until he was about 8 years old, he would receive different stuffed animals. A. A. Milne was a famous English writer. As he watched his son interact (互动) with Winnie and friends.

A. A. Milne thought his child's interaction with the collection of animals would make a great bedtime story. So Milne worked with artist Ernest H. Shepard and wrote the first Winnie the Pooh poem, where Edward Bear was known as "Teddy Bear". The writings appeared in Punch magazine and in the book they wrote together, When We Were Young, which was published in 1924. In a four-year period, three more books that focused on the bear and his team followed: 1926's Winnie-the-Pooh, 1927's Now We Are Six, and 1928's The House at Pooh Corner. 

The books and poems about Pooh brought great success to the writer, and the characters became favorites with young children and their families around the world. Their popularity led Disney to get the rights (版权) to make films about the characters in 1961. Five years later, Pooh, Tiger, Piglet and the rest of the team appeared on screen for the first time in Winnie-the-Pooh and the Honey Tree. The characters later appeared in TV shows, movies, video games and short films. Pooh's most recent appearance came last year in the popular children's program, Doc McSiuf ins, where he was a special guest.
