There was a peacock (孔雀) in an animal city. He was very arrogant (傲慢的). Other animals didn't like him.
One morning the peacock wanted to go to a park but he got lost. He was worried. Then he saw a sheep. He walked to him and asked, "Hey! How can I get to the nearby park?"
Then the peacock shouted, "Didn't you hear me? I'm asking you!" The sheep looked at him, but he didn't say anything.
The peacock had to leave. The cat asked, "Excuse me, Uncle Elephant. How can I get to the supermarket?" The elephant said with a smile, "Go this way to the end and turn left."
The peacock walked to the elephant and asked, "Hey! How can I get to the nearby park?" The peacock was angry and shouted, "Why would you tell the cat, but you wouldn't tell me?" The elephant turned around and said, "The cat is so polite. What about you?"
He lowered his head and said, "Thank you for your teaching. I won't do that again."
From then on, the peacock began to be polite to others and slowly became popular.

The Norwegian novelist,poet and playwright Jon Fosse was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Oct. 5,2023.
Born in 1959 in Haugesund,Fosse grew up on a small farm in western Norway. He started writing poems and stories at the age of 12. But {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was his plays that made him famous.
Unlike many traditional {#blank#}3{#/blank#} that focus on plots,characters and conflicts,Fosse's works show "tension of emotions". For example,in his first play Someone Is Going to Come,there is a man {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a woman seeking solitude(独处) in a remote seaside home.
When he was asked what he wants to give to readers through his writing,Fosse said he hopes to show a feeling of peace. "I hope they can find a kind of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} from my writing," he said. Fosse's unique style has helped him win many prizes.
