Visiting a Spring Bud School

Last week, we had an unforgettable experience when we visited a Spring Bud School and organized activities for the children there. 

It's a warm Saturday morning. Julia, Mark and Tina are at Simon's house. They are not doing their homework. They are making1 for this afternoon. They2 get together and play sports on Saturday afternoon, but this time, they want to do something3 . They hope to help Mr. White.

Mr. White is an old man in the town. He is seventy years old and he4 alone. His two daughters are both in another town. They' re too busy to look after him. So the four children plan to5 him this afternoon. Julia is going to tell some interesting stories to cheer6 up. Tina, Mark and Simon are going to do some7 for him. It always takes Mr. White a long time to wash his clothes because he is old8 he isn't in good health.

 The second shop is bigger than the first, and in it there are many kinds of sweaters of different sizes and colours. Ann tries on an orange one. It is too big. She tries a smaller one. It is OK.

"How much is it ?" Ann's mother asks the women who sells clothes. Then they find it too dear (贵), and they don't have so much money with them. 

"Would you like a cheaper one ? " The women asks.

" No, we shall take this one. My daughter likes it. We will come back to buy it tomorrow. " Ann's mother answers.

I can't forget that day. It was a cold snowy morning, the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (天空) was gray and dark. I got up early and went to a new school, which is the most {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (著名的) one in the foreign city. I was walking alone and worried about lots of things because it was the first time for me to stay {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (在国外).

 It was early, so it was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (寂静的) outside. Suddenly a girl who was riding her bike got into trouble. She fell off the bike and tried to get up. But she failed. Without thinking, I went over and {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (设法完成) to help her to get up. She said" thank you" with a smile and then{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (离开) . Her words warmed me a lot.

 Finally, I got to school. The teacher introduced me to the whole class. Then he asked me to sit{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(在……旁边) a girl. I felt so nervous. Soon the bell rang for the geography class. Their textbooks were different! Just I wanted to ask teacher for help. A geography book with a national  63. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(旗帜) on its cover was in front of me. "Let's share", the friendly girl next to me said, "Hi, I'm Carrie. I'm {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(加拿大人)." To my surprise, it was the girl that I helped this morning. Later on, we became good friends.

From that I learned, to help others is actually to help {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(我们自己). What life teaches us is not only knowledge but also experience.
