How do you go to school evey day? By bike or on foot? Maybe you can try a new way— taking a S' Gool Bus.

The S' Gool Bus is also called the bike bus. It was invented in the bike kingdom— the Netherlands. It is all about green lifestyle, sports and sharing. It's interseting for kids to ride the bus together to go to school.

Also, it is very safe. The bike bus has a driver and eleven seats for kids. Each one has a helmet and safety belt. There is also a roof on the bus. It can be used on hot days or rainy days to make kids feel comfortable.

Riding the bike bus is one of the greatest ways for children to get to school. Peter, a 10- year- old pupil, becomes a big fan of the bike bus." Now the S' Gool Bus is my favorite way of transport. I can ride it together with other kids to keep healthy. It's full of fun." For most parents, it can help them save a lot of time because they only have to pick up their children after school.

The S' Gool Bus is becoming more and more popular in some countries like Germany and France. Its inventor Thomas Tolkamp says,"I hope I can sell the bike bus to more countries in the future. As green lifestyle becomes popular, ideas like this get popular, too. I think it will work well in other countries." The use of the S' Gool Bus shows us that we can save the Earth in many ways as long as we want to have a try.

Dogs are my father's favorite animal. He likes to watch the movies about dogs, and he also enjoys reading {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (小说) about them. 

He used to keep a pet dog for over five years. Unluckily, the dog was {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(死的) in an accident in order to save him. It was a big shock to my father. Whenever the word "dog" was {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(提到), his face turned pale. He became so silent. I was worried and wondered how to cheer him up. 

Finally, I decided to make a special {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (明片) for our dog. My mom was willing to help me. We collected all the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (材料) we needed. We used the tools such as knives and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(剪刀). As we wanted to keep it a secret, we had to do it bit by bit. Several days later, we got {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(确切地) what we wanted. To make it more meaningful, I even recorded a short {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(演讲) for the dog. When I gave the special gift to my father, he couldn't help crying. He kept {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(重复) the sentence I wrote "Long live the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(英雄) in our heart although they are gone. "We were glad to see light back in his eyes again. 

At the 17th Paralympic Games(残奥会) in Paris, Liu Yu, a 35- year- old disabled swimmer, was1 after winning the third place in the women's backstroke 50m(女子50米仰泳).

Liu was born with illness and couldn'2 . She had to use a wheelchair and stayed in a children's hospital.3 , the elder kids in the hospital cared for this young girl. Like her 4 , they taught her to be strong.

At the age of 15, Liu had the chance to learn how to swim and showed her talent in the pool." I loved the feelings of 5 and was not scared at all. It was so wonderful to move 6 without having to use legs."

Staying 7 is the key to her success."I was 24 years old then and it was so tiring to stay in the water six hours a day. But I never 8 and finally made it."

In 2019, she was 9 by the National Team. This year, she won a bronze medal(铜牌).

" Although it's my last Paralympic Games, I'm happy with this result." said Liu."I want to tell people that no matter what happened to you, never10 and you will finally succeed!"

 On my way to work or in the supermarket,I try to describe my surroundings(环境) in my head or out loud to remind myself of vocabulary and useful phrases.

Join social groups

 Last term I joined a rock band and learned lots of new vocabulary about music. This term I will join a badminton club and a German conversation group to give myself more chances to practice speaking with people who have common interests.

Change the language settings(设置) on my mobile phone

 To encourage myself to think in German, I changed my mobile phone into German. Every time I send an e-mail, I discover new words.

Watch more films

 It's a good idea to watch familiar (熟悉的) films dubbed (配音) into German. All the voices are strange, but as I already know the story, I can follow what the characters are saying. I don't have to worry about missing anything.

Laugh at myself

I've learned from my first term that I'm very good at making mistakes. There was a time when I went shopping for a scarf and kept using the German word for"sheep". This term, instead of feeling stupid, I will laugh at my silly mistakes and try again.

How do you feel when you have to make a speech in front of class? What about when you go to a birthday party? Do you get really shy?

Shyness means feeling worried or afraid when you're around other people. Experts (专家) have found that more than 80 percent of middle school students feel afraid to be the center of attention (注意). Some kids are born shy. Some become shy later because of their life experiences (经历).

It's OK if it takes you a minute to feel yourself again when you go to a new place or meet new people. In fact, everybody gets a little shy sometimes. It's just a problem of how much.

Most people have red faces and talk in broken language when they get shy. But some become so shy that they won't go to a restaurant because they are too nervous to order and pay for their food. Some are afraid of meeting new people, so they hardly go outside. This kind of shyness can be bad for a person.

If shyness doesn't stop you from doing something you want to do, being shy isn't a very big problem. Some experts say shy people are cleverer because they think more and talk less. Shy people are also good at working with others because they think more for other people. Some great people in history were shy, too.

You see, being shy isn't all bad. But remember not to let good chances pass by just because of it! If you have to sing a song at a birthday party or practice your spoken English in front of others, just do it! There's nothing to be afraid of.
