A team of 32 students at the Eindhoven University of Technology has created an electric car that can remove CO₂ from the air while it drives down the road.

The two-seater sports car was designed and built in less than a year. It is called "ZEM". According to the team, 10 ZEM cars on the road for a year can remove as much CO₂ as a tree does in that time. There are over 1 billion passenger cars around the world now. If they could be replaced by ZEM, the result would be huge.

ZEM also has several other advantages that help to make it more environment-friendly.First of all, most of the car's parts are 3D printed to reduce waste. Besides, it was built using recycled and recyclable plastic. And it can be easily taken apart so that many of its parts can be reused. ZEM's battery (电池) is also reusable.

Unfortunately, the Eindhoven team can't drive ZEM on its US road trip: 3D-printed cars are not allowed on the road. The team says, "We're not finished developing yet, and we want to take some big steps in the coming years.We warmly invite car companies to come and take a look."

"They'll understand when they're older, " Hearing this, as a parent, you may feel better. But the fact is that even when kids become adults, it doesn't mean they'll agree with your decisions. 

Recently, I have had lots of conversations with my 19-year-old daughter about decisions I made in her childhood. She says she disagrees with some of them and some have even caused harm to her. That hurts. I think I must have failed as a parent.

Purple usually makes people think of beautiful things. On your mother's birthday, you can buy her a purple sweater as a gift. 

That morning, I got on the train as always. I was a publishing director and was looking forward to embracing a new day of work, as usual. I would always turn to the crossword, but that day it didn't make sense. I'd been doing it for 30-old years, but trying to read this one was like walking through syrup(糖浆): 1 slow and hard. I thought I must be tired.
