Ren Jilan was born（出生） in a small village in 1992. Her family was very poor because of her parents' bad health. With the help of some kind people, she finished her 12-year school study and went to Qufu Normal University in 2014. It had always been her dream to study in a university, but her family didn't have enough money. When she wanted to give up（放弃）, Li Zhenhua, a model teacher in Shandong Province, came and helped her. 

However, the four-year university life did not go as well as Ren expected. She had to look after her sick （生病的） parents while （当……的时候） finishing her study. She rented（租）a small house near the university and started her special university life. Life was hard during the four years, but Ren enjoyed it. 

When someone asked her to work as a teacher in a big city, Ren refused and chose to go back to her hometown （家乡）. She became a teacher in her hometown. "Mr. Li gave up a good job in a big city to teach students at the village school. I'd like to follow his example and do something forrural education," said Ren.

In 2022, Ren got the China Youth （青年） May Fourth Medal （奖章）—the top honor （荣誉） for excellent young people in our country.

Do you know what I want to be when I grow up? 

While we were growing up, our parents often said things like, "Look at that boy, he swims so well! He is such a talent(人才)．" Such words made us believe that if we were not born a talent, we would never do things well. So we were afraid to try new things, and were afraid of making mistakes or failing. But in fact, failures(失败) and mistakes are as important as success.

Sarah is lucky. She has a great father. As a child, her father asked her the same question every weekend. "What did you fail at this week, Sarah？" He did not care too much about her grades. He cared more about what she had tried but failed at. When she told him about her failures and mistakes, he would give her a high five(举手击掌)．

Do you realize what her father was doing? He was trying to make her believe that failures and mistakes are just fine. And they were a huge part of our growth and success. Most importantly, her father was telling her that she would still be loved and trusted even if she failed. Encouraged by the weekend communications, Sarah has grown into a successful businesswoman.In her journey, she has tried many new jobs and had many difficulties，but she never lost heart. Because she knew her failures and mistakes would be embraced(接受) on the weekend.

When I was about fourteen , I had a lot of freckles(雀斑). I was so upset. I tried different ways to cover the freckles, but my mother would shake her head and say ,"▲"I felt sad hearing it .

By the end the day when I came back to the house, my family began to say things like," I have never seen you with that many freckles "When I saw myself in the mirror, I cried and hid in the bathroom .

When my grandfather came to see what was wrong with me I told him about the story of the freckle removal cream. Grandpa didn't understand, so I tried to explain why I didn't want to have freckles . He looked at me in surprise and said, "But my child, there are all kinds of flowers, and they are all beautiful." I said," I have never seen a flower with freckles ! "Then I ran back to my room.

When I opened my eyes the next morning, the first thing I saw was a tiger lily—a beautiful flower with freckles. I didn't know where Grandpa found it. Looking at it , I was lost in thought ...

Ashley was honest, fashionable, and the"Queen Bee" in my school.
