In February, 2023, a female panda named Xiang Xiang came back to China and reporters wrote many {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(文章) about her.

Xiang Xiang, born in Japan, is {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(七) years old now. Japanese were {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(疯狂的) about this cute girl and had to say goodbye to her unwillingly. Her parents were lent to Tokyo under the condition that {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(他们的) children must belong to China.

It is{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(公平) to say that the giant panda is the best four-legged diplomat(外交官) from China. Wherever it goes, it{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(收到) a warm welcome and spreads friendship. It is usually seen as the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(象征) of cross-cultural harmony because it is "black, white, and Asian".

Some people joke that the giant panda can hunt for meat as cruel as any bear, but it chooses bamboo as the main food. That's why it is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(认为) to be cute, not a sign of weakness.

The panda is also a symbol of Chinese{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(文化). Like it, China also offers warmth to all friends. However, anyone that dares to hurt China is sure to {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(失败).

You may have seen someone pour milk foam (泡沫) into a coffee, and then a beautiful pattern appears. But have you seen the art in {#blank#}1{#/blank#}cup of tea?

Dian cha is a tea art from the Song Dynasty. The art {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(begin) with pouring water over fine powdered (粉末状的) tea and creating a paste (膏). Then add more hot water and whisk(搅打) it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}hand with a tea whisk (茶笑). It is believed that the art later spread to other {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(part) of East Asia, including Japan. In 2019, it was listed as an intangible cultural heritage of Runzhou district, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.

Han Zheming, a 42-year-old designer from Shanghai, has been interested in di an cha since he was a child. "My mother loves {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(tradition) culture. And I learn di an cha under {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (she) influence," said Han. Over the past six years, Han has used tea {#blank#}7{#/blank#}spoons to create nearly 200 patterns based on ancient paintings. "The art gives people a much stronger sense of occasion (隆重的气氛), so {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(drink) tea is more fun," Han added.

In fact, creating patterns on the tea foam is not easy. It is quick work. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(usual), the whole process has to be finished within 10 minutes. One needs at least one {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (year) practice to be able to do it. In order to spread di an cha culture to more people, Han posted(发布) the process of tea — whisking and drawing online, attracting more than 20,000 followers.

In the South China Sea, there is a group of Jiaoren, or Chinese mermaids(美人鱼), whose tears(眼泪) become pearls(珍珠) after they fall. To the north of Kunlun Mountains, there is a monster called Xiangliu, which has nine heads with human faces but the body of a snake. These magic creatures(生物) are from the ancient book of mythical(神话的) legends Shan Hai Jing.

Shan Hai Jing, also known as The Classic of Mountains and Seas, is said to be at least 2,200 years old. It is about creature and geography of China before the Qin dynasty. It has 31,000 words, more or less. The whole collection includes eighteen parts, talking about more than 550 mountains and 300 seas. It also tells many interesting stories and describes lots of mythical creatures.

A famous story in the book is about Zhu Rong, the God of Fire. He is described as having a beastlike body and a human face, riding around the sky on two dragons. When he had a big fight with Gong Gong, the God of Water, Zhu Rong won. But after the fight, the human world came into complete darkness. Then he brought fire from heaven(天堂) to the world and taught humans how to use it.

The book has inspired(激发；使生灵感) many people like Luxun and JK Rowling. There are also many books, films, games and artworks made from it. Although it's not clear who wrote it, Shan Hai Jing is an important ancient book in the pre-Qin period of China and considered one of the treasures of Chinese culture. The stories in the book are now being spread from one generation to another in China. So for your next book, why not choose Shan Hai Jing? It may surprise you.

My dad bought me a new Jeep when I was 17, but the real gift was what he  taught me about life through this car. Every month, on the first day, he asked me  to pay him $150 if I wanted to continue driving my Jeep. If I didn't pay, I  couldn't drive my car〔or "his car", as he often reminded me, since he owned the title (所有权). My dad was (and still is) a successful businessman, who makes a very good living. To a 17-year-old student who only had a part-time weekend job, $150 was more  than  I  usually  made  every  month.  I  had  to  work  harder.  Although I was unhappy about my father's request, I always made sure to give him $150 on the first of each month, and did so for two years.

The day I graduated from high school, my dad pulled me into his office at our house for a talk. "Kevin," he gave me a white box and said, "here is your graduation present. To be honest, this is actually a present you gave yourself." I opened the box carefully, and almost started crying when I realized he just gave me $3,600! It was 24 car payments that he had saved for the last two years. Every payment I gave him went straight into this box. By requiring me to pay him every month, he was teaching me how to save, how to use my money and how to be responsible (有责任心的). My dad is and will forever be the best man I have ever known.

Four years later he gave me the title to the Jeep, as my college graduation present.

Once a young man was travelling by train. It was a long and boring journey. As the train was moving quickly through a wilderness(荒野), many of the1 looked out of the windows quietly. When the train reached a bend(弯道), it slowed down and then a simple 2 appeared. It was so easy to notice that everybody on the train would enjoy the house carefully. Some passengers were even3 by it. The young man was one of them.

My name is Kaspa r and I'm a child-sized robot. I am able to move my arms and head. I can also open and close 1 mouth and eyes. I can even show some feelings, such as happiness, sadness and 2 .
