A Bite of China is a documentary（记录片）that started on CCTV on May 14th, 2012. It tells the stories behind delicious food from different places in China and shows a lot about Chinese culture. Britain's Got Talent is a British television talent show and competition which began in June 2007. Anyone of any age with some kinds of talent can apply for（申请）a chance against each other to win a prize. The Voice of China is a television singing competition. It started on July 13th, 2012 on Zhejiang TV. It is like The Voice of Holland which started in Holland in 2010. Mythbusters is a science entertainment（科技型娱乐）TV program. It is one of the oldest and the most popular shows on Discovery Channel in America. On the show, the hosts（主持人）, Adam Savage and Jamie Hynema, take a scientific look at what people say or think to see if it is true. 

It was sunny last Sunday. I called my classmates and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a bicycle to a farm near a bill A farmer welcomed {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in front of his house. The farm was so beautiful. We saw hens, ducks and pigs there. We {#blank#}3{#/blank#} like birds out of the cage(笼子), running around happily. We did many wonderful activities around the farmhouse. Sally tried {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Some apples from a tree. I got to the top of the hill and {#blank#}5{#/blank#} quite a few photos. Tony seemed to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} no interest in these activities. He sat {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a big tree and relaxed. At twelve o' clock, most of us were {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. The farmer prepared(准备) some delicious food for us. Of course, we must pay for it, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we still thanked him. To remember what we did, I wrote down some {#blank#}10{#/blank#} between the life in the city and that on the farm in my diary.

All in all, it was a wonderful day!

 Wonderful meanings

 Paper cutting has some wonderful meanings. In our mind, paper cutting can always bring us happiness and good luck. At the Spring Festival, people put up"Fu" on the doors and windows. At a wedding(婚礼) , people also put up"Xi".

 The largest paper cutting in the world

 The largest paper cutting was made by Gao Xiaodong. It has an area of about 456 square meters. It is as large as a basketball court(球场).

 Why are most paper cutting red ?

 In old times, people respected the sun. Red is the color of the sun. We always regard red as the symbol of hope and good luck. Now we can still see red everywhere in China. The walls of old palaces are red. Lanterns are red. Weddings are always full of red things, too.

 Black paper cuttings in Shanzhou

 It's true that most of paper cuttings are red. But Paper cuttings in Shangzhou, Henan Province are black. Black is the best color there. Shanzhou is a dry place. The local people make the black paper cuttings to wish for rain.

Carnival( 狂 欢 节 ) does not take place only in Louisiana. There are many celebrations around the world. 

In Brazil, the celebration goes on from the Saturday before Mardi Gras(大斋节前的最后一天)to Mardi Gras Day, but in some Brazilian cities the celebration can last seven or eight days. Just like New Orleans, not many important things are decided in Brazil from New Year's Day to Mardi Gras Day because everyone is preparing for or celebrating carnival. Most Brazilian parades have a topic, which could be political or historical. The parades had to have a topic tied to Brazil until 1996. Some cities in Brazil do not have a street carnival, but they might have an indoor party. 

Bolivia has carnival parades( 游 行 )for children and then more parades for adults. The children dress up in costumes and walk in the streets. The adults make traditional dance groups and dance in the streets. But the main part of Bolivia's carnival is getting wet. Almost everyone gets wet from water balloons and water buckets. In Oruru, Bolivia, their carnival is held in the last ten days of the carnival season. People there join in dancing, but their main carnival event is a ceremonial parade that lasts for twenty hours and parades for four kilometers. Over 20, 000 dancers are involved as well as 10, 000 musicians. This parade attracts at least 400, 000 people. 

The carnival in Venice, Italy is often regarded as the most carefully prepared carnival and lasts ten days before Lent( 大斋节). Many events are held in the canals including shows, concerts, dances and water processions. The official ending to the celebration is the party held in St. Mark's Square.
