湖南省长沙市一中双语实验学校2024-2025学年上学期九年级英语入学考试试卷
I have always loved dancing. When I was younger, I watched lots of dance programs and spent hours practicing dancing in front of the mirror every week! I thought I was quite good, as I got older, I became less confident(自信的).
Recently I decided I'd join a dance class. The problem with most dance classes is that you need a partner(舞伴), and none of my male(男性的) friends ever wanted to come with me. I (prepare) to give up on the idea when I came across a magazine article about Chinese dance. And it said that a club in my town offered Chinese dance classes. It sounded great and best of all I could do it on my own! So I made a (decide) to take the classes.
I turned up for my first lesson feeling very anxious (焦虑的). I knew nobody there and I had never tried Chinese dance. Luckily, everyone was really friendly. We were all women. The (young) was about eighteen and the oldest was forty. Our teacher first asked us to do some warm- up exercises. Then she played music and we started following her moves. As soon as I listened to music, I lost (me)in the moves and had no time to worry about anything. After class, I got a strong feeling of (satisfy).
I (notice) a lot of changes since I took up Chinese dance as a hobby. I'm much (health) and I feel more confident. I've also made some great friends in the class. What amazing thing!
If you're interested dancing, you can try Chinese dance. It won't let you down.

I chose the colors purple and black to remind students that they are excellent. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} They can be future engineers, scientists and even leaders who can and will take over this world," Lopez said.
A popular New York blogger heard about the school and wrote a post about it, telling people how the children struggled(挣扎), and why people must make education the most important thing. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} About 1.4 million dollars were raised for the school and its students got to take field trips to colleges and universities.
"Up to now, we have had three graduating classes(毕业班). They have nearly 200 children," said Lopez.

Mike is my best friend. He came to our class last term. He is good at English,so we often speak English in our spare time. After school,we often play football together on the playground. His favorite sport is running. He runs so fast that I can not catch up with him. He is an excellent student. He not only gets good grades in all subjects but also is very kind and modest (谦虚的). He loves popular songs and playing the piano. There are three people in his family and he is the only child. His father is a doctor and he likes reading newspapers in the evening. Sometimes he goes cycling with Mike at weekends. His mother is a Beijing Opera actress and she likes traveling in her free time. Mike likes reading and his favorite subject is Chinese because he thinks it is very interesting. His dream is to be a lawyer (律师). What a clever and kind boy! He is loved by everyone in our class. |
