Hello, everyone! This is my bedroom. The walls are {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(黄色).There is a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (照片) of my family on the wall. That is my {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(绿色) bed. It's very lovely. Don't you think so? Can you {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (看见) the pink pillow (枕头)? It's mine. I like it very much. The dresser is beside the bed. It's {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(棕色). And a {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (时钟) is on the dresser. It's pink and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (紫色). Oh! This is my {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(书桌). It's blue. There is a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(计算机) on the desk. I like to use it very much. My books are {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(在……上面) the desk, too. My desk is beside the {#blank#}11{#/blank#}(椅子). The chair is {#blank#}12{#/blank#}(蓝色),too. Where is my {#blank#}13{#/blank#}(棒球)? Oh! It's {#blank#}14{#/blank#}(在……下面)the chair. My bedroom is always {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(整洁). I like it very much!

Every kid in my neighbourhood knew about the Christmas Witch (女巫). She was an old woman who left her Christmas decorations(装饰) up all year long: a twinkling tree in the living room, a plastic wreath on the front door, and…

I was told the decorations were meant to get kids closer to the house so the Christmas Witch could take them, and I promised myself I would never go near that place. But when I turned fourteen, I got a newspaper road map and found I'd have to deliver(投递) papers to the Christmas Witch. 

My first day of delivery was a dark, cold March morning. The sky was just turning pink as I got close to the last house on my road map— that of the Christmas Witch. I walked up the stairs quietly and placed the newspaper by the door. Then I quickly turned around. Just then I fell down the stairs. I hurt my ankle(踝关节), unable to walk. 

The light was on. The door opened. Someone came out. It was the Christmas Witch. 

"Dear me, " said she. "Are you all right?" Speechless, I pointed at my ankle. "Come in; make sure you're okay, " she smiled, not a wicked- witch smile, but a nice smile. I had no choice. Holding her hand, I got into her house and was placed in a chair. "Relax. " She hurried into the kitchen and returned a moment later, handing me a cup of hot tea. "I call your parents, " she said. 

I told her my mother's number. She got through, told my mother everything and turned, "Your mother will be here shortly. ""Thank you, Mrs Wright. ""You're welcome. " She sat down across from me, smiling. "You don't have to call me Mrs Wright; you can call me Christmas Witch. "

I was a bit embarrassed (尴尬的). "It's alright. I hear what people say, " she smiled. "You do have lots of decorations, "I said. "I think it's pretty, " she replied. "But people think it's… strange, "I said. "They don't understand why I leave up my decorations, " answered she. 

Like most teenagers, I just asked the next question, "Why?"

"It was because of my son, Anthony, " said Mrs Wright. "Anthony planned to come home before Christmas. He called me on New Year's Eve, telling me to leave up the Christmas decorations. But three days later, Anthony died because there was something wrong with the plane. My boy never made it back home. Even though I know it doesn't change anything, I won't take down those decorations, even after all these years. " Mrs Wright wasn't a witch. She was a sad, lonely mother fighting with a terrible sadness. 

The doorbell rang and my mother arrived. Held by my mother, I went home. My hurt ankle healed (康 复 ) quickly. Since then, whenever I delivered newspapers to Mrs Wright, she smiled, saying how much she enjoyed my visit. I didn't think of her as the Christmas Witch any more. 

Heath is important to everyone. 1 should we do to keep healthy?

One important rule is to exercise often. The Fangs try to exercise every day. Mr Fang is2 geography teacher. Because he must3 to work before seven o'clock, he can't exercise in the morning. But he runs every evening. He walks a lot, too. He walks to school every day, and after school he plays different sports4 his friends or students. Mrs Fang goes to a swimming class once a week. 

5 it isn't always this way. Last year Mr and Mrs Fang6 everywhere in their car, even to the small store near7 house. They thought they had to use the car all the time. They seldom walked. Then they became fatter and fatter and got stick8 , so they wanted to have a change. They believed they shouldn't be lazy any more. Now, they feel much9 .

We needn't exercise every day, but we should try our best10 as often as possible. 

Here is the story of a special plant. Because of this plant, the population at that time increased a lot. 

Long ago, there was a man named Chen Zhenlong and he was born in Fujian. Then he went to Luzon island for work. There were many waterways to Luzon, So he took a boat to get there. In Luzon, Chen found that the local people ate sweet potatoes, and they could easily plant them. He wanted to bring the sweet potatoes back to his hometown, because they might change the situation of the food shortage(短缺). But it was not an easy thing. Chen was learning how to grow sweet potatoes while he was thinking about how to bring them back. One day he put a potatoes vine(藤) into the absorbent rope(吸水绳) and then brought it back to his hometown. After getting home , Chen began to plant sweet potatoes and finally he was successful. 

The weather was bad in Fujian and many people didn' t have enough food. Chen told the government that the sweet potatoes could help people. So the government let people plant sweet potatoes. After that, the sweet potatoes became a common plant in China. At that time, 85% of the people depended on sweet potatoes for food. People then had enough food and the population increased quickly.
