Have you ever {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (hear) of the Stonehenge? Every year it {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (receive) more than 750, 000 visitors. People like to go to this place especially {#blank#}3{#/blank#}June as they want to see the sun {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (rise) on the longest day of the year.

    For many years, historians believed Stonehenge was a temple where ancient leaders {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (try) to communicate with the gods.

    {#blank#}6{#/blank#}, historian Paul Stoker thinks this can't {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (be) true because Stonehenge was built so {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (much) centuries ago. Other people believe the stones have a medical purpose. They think the stones can prevent illness and keep people {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (health).

    No one is sure what Stonehenge was used for. Some think it might be a burial place or a place to honour ancestors. Others think {#blank#}10{#/blank#}was built to celebrate a victory over an enemy.

   There will be many different kinds of workshopsin the festival. Children are4to create things in those workshops. Forexample, they can make things5funny hand-made T-shirts or cartoon toydolls. No one will tell them6to make these things. They create everythingwith their imagination. Besides making things, children can see a wonderful moviecalledA trip to the Sunin a7duringthe festival.

   In thefestival, children are asked to do most of the work by themselves.8,if the work is too difficult for them, they can ask their parents for9 .

   To takepart in the festival, children need to register (注册) first , and then10theworkshops they like on the website. One child can take part in two workshops ata time.

In a pond，there lived many fish. They never listened to anyone. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

He told the fish， "It could bring danger to your life if you never listen to others. " {#blank#}2{#/blank#}" It is that old duck，talking to himself again. " they would say. 

One afternoon，the duck was resting near a stone beside the pond，when two fishermen stopped there to drink water. 

The fishermen saw that the pond had many fish. " Look!This lake is full of fish，" said one of them. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. "

The duck heard all this. When the fishermen left，he quickly went into the pond and said to the fish，" You all have to leave this pond before morning. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

But the fish just laughed and said. " There have been many fishermen trying to catch us. They never made it. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

Don't worry about us，Mr. Duck. "

The next morning，the fishermen came to the pond. Very soon，they caught all the fish. The fish cried. "If only we had listened to Mr. Duck. Now we have to pay with our lives. "

Mr. and Mrs. Crum lived in a quiet place. They kept animals and grew vegetables to make a living. Though they were rich, they were 1 . Why? They didn't have a 2 . This summer they grew pumpkins（南瓜）. 3 , there was hardly any 4 the whole（整个的） summer. They had to water them twice a week.

A little boy invited his mother to attend his school's first parent-teacher meeting. This would be the 1 time that his classmates and teacher met his mother. She had a large scar(伤疤) that 2 nearly the entire(全部的) right side of her face. The boy 3 ashamed (羞愧的) and never asked why or how she got the scar. At the meeting, everyone 4 the act of his mother's kindness, but the little boy was still embarrassed and 5 himself from everyone. He did, however, overhear(无意中听到) a conversation 6 his mother and his teacher.

The teacher asked carefully, "Is it OK to ask 7 you got the scar?" 

The mother replied, "When my son was a baby, he was in a room that 8 fire. Everyone was too 9 to go in because the fire was out of control, but I went in. As I was running toward his bed, I saw a long piece of wood 10 from the ceiling (天花板), so I stood over him to 11 him. I was knocked senseless, but fortunately(幸运地), a fireman came and 12 both of us." She touched the scarred side of her face. "This scar will last, but to this day, I have 13 regretted what I did." 

The little boy had never 14 the story of his mother's scar. He ran toward his mother 15 and held her hand tightly for the rest of the day.
