As Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." For{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(多的) people, this is true. The answer is yes, and it really {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(要紧). According to studies, {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(可能) being creative can help fight against negative emotions. It is a good {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(方法) to build problem-solving skills, and convey(表达) a {#blank#}11{#/blank#}(信息) of being confident. One study even found that creative people {#blank#}12{#/blank#}(活) longer because their brains are more active.

How can you become more creative? Try taking a child's way. Pull out a {#blank#}13{#/blank#}(笔记本) or a piece of paper and {#blank#}14{#/blank#}(仅仅) draw or paint, with no goal in {#blank#}15{#/blank#}(脑海). This gets all {#blank#}16{#/blank#}(种类) of connections in the brain working. Or you can get some exercise in the {#blank#}17{#/blank#}(早晨). A study discovered that a tired mind can be a more creative mind. So, hit the gym, go for a running {#blank#}18{#/blank#}(比赛) or climb a {#blank#}19{#/blank#}(山), and then sit down to try something new.

One of the{#blank#}20{#/blank#}(主要的) obstacles(障碍) to being creative is called "fear of failure." It is{#blank#}26{#/blank#}(必要的) to{#blank#}27{#/blank#}(学习) to change what "failure" means in your own mind. You might think failure is painting a picture that you see as ugly, but don't{#blank#}28{#/blank#}(丢失) your confidence. What if "failure" was actually not painting anything at all?

To learn anything faster, just remember FAST!

The F in FAST stands for Forget.

If you want to speed up your brain, forget three things.

Forget what you already know about the subject. Your mind only works when it's open.

Forget about anything that's not urgent (紧急的) and important. If your brain is thinking about four different things, you're not fully present—so you won't learn quickly.

Forget your weakness in learning. Express your thoughts as if your memory isn't good, or you're a slow reader. Your memory isn't fixed (固定的), and it is possible to remember more.

The A in FAST stands for  ▲ .

In school, you learn by being active and creating information. Learning is not just watching and listening. You need to think hard, ask questions and take notes. The more active you are, the more you will learn.

The S in FAST stands for State.

Your state is the condition of your mind and body in that exact moment. All learning depends on your state. Many people don't remember well at school because they are in a state of being bored. So choose to learn with joy, interest, and curiosity (好奇心).

The T in FAST stands for Teach.

If you want to learn better, try teaching it to somebody else.

If you have to give a talk on what you're learning today, you would learn it differently. You would pay closer attention, take more careful notes and ask better questions. When you teach something, you get to learn it twice. If you can't do anything, you can't teach it, and then you can't do it.

"But I've nearly won the game." Tom said to Mrs White. She could see the excitement on his face. she sat beside him and said, "You're always playing on the computer. You spend more time on this machine than on your homework."

Today more and more families have computers. Parents hope computers can help their children improve their study at school. But many of their children use computers to play games, listen to songs and watch videos instead of studying. We often see that net bars are crowded with people, especially young boys. They spend a lot of time and money competing(竞争) with the computerized(用计算机控制的) machines. The more they lose, the more they want to win. The result is that they don't want to work or study.

In some countries, even scientists hate computers. They say computers cause millions of bring them a lot of trouble. Computer game addiction(瘾) is a serious problem in social life. Something should be done to solve the problem.

Do you like playing cards? Do you know some interesting things about cards? The four suits(花色) mean four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. The two colours, red and black, mean day and night. The 52 cards mean the 52 weeks of a year. In every suit, there are 13 cards. It means 13 weeks in each season.

First, ten minus four is six.

Second, eight divide by two is four.

Then, six times four is twenty- four.

The world's best tennis players go to Melbourne each January to compete in the Australian Open. The action takes place at Melbourne Park, several big stadiums and outdoor courts (球场) right next to Melbourne's city centre. To see the tennis superstars and your favourite players, you can buy mid- price tickets, or you can spend more watching matches at Rod Laver Arena, which is considered the Championship centre court.

The Australian Open also has the country's longest music festival, with 15 days of music acts. Many famous Australian and international bands come and play for the public. Parties take place at the popular grass riverside park, Hisense Arena, just outside the tennis stadiums. The public can watch the performance on the big screens. 

The event will have a special area for the little kids. The AO Ballpark is a wonderful park for kids and families with a wide group of exciting activities. A zip line(索道) allows children of all ages to have an exciting ride through the centre of the park.
